Less than a month until Turkey DAY!

Gobble Gobble people! Gobble Gobble! I love the holidays. It is my most favorite time of the year. I would live in Christmasland if i could. I don't know if there's such a thing, but if there was, I'd be there....well no, i probably wouldn't, because then it wouldn't be as special. So, I think I'm going to move from the whole "ooh look what i found for you" to "look at what would make a good present for me and for all of those other people you know". Well, I guess i could also give you links to cool things for you too.

Giants won last night! It was like watching a movie! The rain is pouring down on Giants stadium. The crowd was on their feet. Everyone was drenched. They WIN! (which i must add here, the Cardinals had no points). I teared up a bit. it was very romantic.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Blondie Bars-Lauren at Lauren's latest is amazing. She posted this recipe yesterday and i had to try it last night! So YUMMY!!!!! Also she looks super adorable so you should visit her page anyway!

By the way, no one pays me or asks me to go to their pages, I just do because I like what i see.

Thanksgiving! Who the heck doesn't like Thanksgiving!!??? whoever doesn't is missing out big time. Are you hosting? Are you in charge of the bird? side dishes? pies? etc....well say thank you to Epicurious because they're amazing and have many videos, tricks, ideas, recipes, etc...so go and check them out. 

Halloween is next week!!! So my "cop" costume (I like to put it in quotes because really it's a bodysuit with a hat and a badge) is missing something and I have come to the conclusion I need hot pink handcuffs. The fluffy ones. I think it will work. I'm not one for carrying a weapon, even if it's a toy. Although a taser doesn't sound like a bad thing........By the way, Gerry hasn't even bought his costume. 

What not to do when your girlfriend is doubling over with menstrual cramps.  I like saving lives. Especially the lives of clueless men. If men are willing to listen, than they deserve to be saved.  You see, sirs, sometimes we women get cramps. Some are controlled by Midol or pamprin and sometimes the evil bitch comes and she tears up the insides of your girlfriend and she looks like she is dying. she feels like it too. Things you should NOT do: #1 ignore her. i think that's the final and only thing on my list of shit you shouldn't do. We're in pain. We need to be cared for. Trust me when i say that getting up and walking around is not going to help. We need you to care for us. Do not imitate my boyfriend. He was on the computer for like an hour of my moaning and groaning before I think I got a little too loud that he was like "God are you ok?" This is when i think battery is ok...I should have hit him with a baseball bat, but since i couldn't move i was like "NO, get me some vicodin now." oh #2 would be don't ask stupid questions.

Gerry did good and bought me this ring off Amazon after i sent him a link. Yes the skull has headphones on and yes that is a blue skeleton. He keeps my desk tidy.  How do you like the orange nails? Giants and Halloween colors!

Pawsitive Dog Stories

Really this link is about the dogs that survived Michael Vick's fighting ring. This blog is about the dogs that were saved and how they're doing now. It's strange to me how some people can give up on animals so easily and dismiss them entirely. But those same people expect us to not do that to humans?  Everyone should sign up to this blog because it's amazing. This story is amazing, maybe not amazing in the sense that this dog rescued someone, but that this dog has overcome fear and been able to trust a human and has learned amazing things and has proven SOCIETY WRONG. But couldn't you have waited until i actually had to get up, it was only a couple of hours later you know? Man I am beat....

• So Nor Cal people we aren't the only ones who experienced some quakes today. Look at the list on earthquake report.com. We've got us, Argentina, India, Indonesia....wow...well...atleast everyone is ok..
• Cramps...they suck. 
• My weekend was pretty laid back. Saturday I spent it with my dog and waiting for Gerry to get home. He came home at midnight. Super busy work day for him. That's the sucky part about having a determined, goal oriented, boyfriend. lol. not sucky at all. It's better than being with someone who has no goals. I remind myself constantly that this is his livelihood, his future etc, but I can't help but miss him when he's not around. I get sad and stuff. Yesterday I went to the beach with friends and even though i was the fifth wheel, i had a really good time. At one point I said "i wish Gerry could have been here with us, OOOH that's a pretty dress" lol. I missed him, but i was ok with being alone. I think I'm doing pretty good. :) He did promise me next Saturday is our day. So I'm excited. I'll probably take Bella and tire her out in the AM and then we'll go do something interesting.
• I have to get back into eating right...I'm feeling a lot better, but still get easily tired after standing or walking for a while. It's to be expected, i've lost muscle mass and that pisses me off.  Today I have some oatmeal and some butternut squash soup. Dinner is my funky leftover casserole idea. I made this pork shoulder-plain-in the crock pot cut it in half, saved one half for the rest of the week for pulled pork BBQ sammiches. Last night i stewed it pork shoulder in chili verde and jamaican jerk seasoning, made some Zatarains rice and some green beans. Tonight i'm making fake enchiladas with the leftovers, rolling them up in tortillas and baking them. why not..lol. 
• Check out www.purewow.com They have a  blog about notification control and cleaning up your inbox. It's pretty damn cool and when i have more time i'll definitely have to check it out. Sometimes I don't need to know who else liked the pic my friend took on facebook, especially if i don't know them.
• I'm in love with theBalm packaging. Cute retroesque pictures. It's a bit pricey-which is why i haven't bought it, but I do want to try it. Items are on sale on Hautelook...just check out some of the packaging:

 Really the price is really good on Hautelook. Half of what you would expect from sephora etc...so if you like this brand, go check it out. I'll probably wait until they come back, because i'm not in the mood to shop. lol..

I want to be cool.

I want to do cool things and feel like I didn't waste the good years which I pretty much hope are ALL the years I'm alive and as healthy as I can be.  If you think about it, I can still function like a normal healthy adult....somewhat....With all my meds I'll be ready for anything, just point me in the right direction, preferably away from traffic and let's boogie.

• Want an easy way to find out what's going on in your area? Check out your local craigslist and go to events. You'll find things you didn't know were happening in your area and hey, it may help get your ass off the couch and feel COOL.
• I want to be in a flash mob. Especially before authorities decide it's disruptive and evil and who knows what else. I love to dance too. So how do you join a flash mob you may ask????? WELL, let's just say Google should be your best friend for EVERYTHING. so yeah, google it, you'll be happy to know there are many flash mobs in the US. For SF, check out Bay Area Flash Mob. Really what could be better than dancing in the streets, impromptu after months of practice (lol), this could be your real life musical...AHHHH, I can't wait for the next one!

• while i was torturing myself and trying to find more local flash mob sites I stumbled onto San Francisco Zombie Mob-I need to see this in action....Unfortunately the site is no longer active. Which sucks, but i think you can find pics and stuff. I had no idea this crap happened around here...How cool and random would that be to see?

• hmmph. Our local livingsocial deal was offering a friggin Scavenger hunt. I think that sounds like the funnest thing ever! Unfortunately we're all broke. I hate wanting to be cool but having no money.

• How to cure cramps???Well unfortunately i clicked on this link and I officially want to smack the people on it. I have a feeling a bunch of hippie women or men wrote the damn page and think that they somehow found the end all list of how to cure cramps. They list to stop eating chicken and switch to organically raised chicken. SMACK. chicken ain't causing my cramps people. They list a bunch of homeopathic stuffs that I don't care to try. Why? I've never taken bark in my life and in no way will i for my friggin cramps. i just can't read that crap anymore. bleh. i'll go home and take half a vic and trust me my friggin cramps will disappear and happy Jacky will come back to earth.
