Girl's night...

well there are two males involved, if cat's count...Well then it wouldn't really count because Bella is a dog....so anywhoo, it's really just a "me" night. It's cool, I get along with me...Gerr will be going up north with the guys to have a wheelin' day tomorrow, which will turn into "mud"ding around because it's sorta raining. You see, what's happening outside isn't rain. It's like a drizzle mist and it must have been happening all night because the ground and everything is wet.

So what will I do tonight??? I will not be baking. That's for sure. My poor thighs and my butt are not happy with my baking. This is the problem with fall/winter the sun goes down so early that walking around this foul neighborhood is sketch at best. (The neighborhood isn't that bad, but it's not the best either). So i think i need to relax, watch some good movies, play with my dog, order some food (hmmm, maybe i shouldn't), and read....wow, i sound like i'm 50. I'm just not a party girl. I don't drink. I hate bars. What the hell else am i supposed to do???? I dunno, maybe I'll figure out something a bit better than staying at home and watching TV.

Ok these cranberry bliss bars from Starbucks are friggin delicious and evil...why oh why am i eating this???
wasn't i just complaining about my thighs??? remind me to never look into how to make these...

Something pissed me off the other day and it has to do with another blog i read and respect. It's a cooking blog and they were talking about how they make a Thanksgiving Turkey. She said the word "Butterball". Sorry, but if you are a cook or an aspiring chef or you're in the culinary industry you do NOT endorse Butterball anything.  Besides the kind of turkey-hello can we say garbage? She didn't care, she said. That evening it was irritating me. These people (two ladies) love to cook and yadda yadda and some of their recipes sound really good, but when it comes down to it I realized they are fakes. They aren't real cooks, they're just housewives who can't afford something better than a chemically treated turkey and they're trying to teach you how to make it "saltier". (I know, I sound like a bitch) I found the part where she "didn't care" a bit harsh. She's teaching people how to cook good meals and using CRAP ingredients. What's more, she's advertising a company that has been in the media regarding their mistreatment of their turkeys. The videos are disturbing and disgusting. Remember what you're eating. At some point you have to realize that at one point that Butterball turkey on your table had sores, puss, and who knows what type of infections...have fun. I'll stick with my $70 turkey who had a pleasant life in the meadows and ate healthy stuff.  Here's an article based on the mercy of animals video about Butterball abuse.
I dare you to watch it. If you don't fine, but don't act aloof to the world and the fact that this crap exists. People like this are sick. They're the same type of people who staple puppies to a train track. and yeah, look that up...it's real too.

pawsitive dog stories!
yup, you read that right...I need lots of positive stories today! I need to remind myself of all the truly beautiful and caring people on this planet...

#1. This story is brought to you by Care2Causes a woman crawls into a sewer to save a dog! How many of us would do that???? I would try, but I know that my boyfriend would ultimately be the hero....This woman was brave. The article also opens our eyes to the rest of the world and the rescues there.
#2. Normally I don't read about stuff like Subaru's Share the love event. They promote adoption and raise a lot of money to the ASPCA. Please help spread the word about this event. I think it's awesome and whatever helps the animals find homes and get funding for their shelters, animal cruelty investigations, disaster relief etc...well it's all heroic and positive in my book.
#3. Meet Ninja and her owner. One of the dogs from that Bronx dogfighting ring....look at how healthy that little boo looks!

Because i believe we need to have more positive dog stories in our world, I think that if anyone has anything they want to say or a story they want to share, please do. Not sure how many people read my blog because of my love for animals...but if you do and you want to share something with me...please do...
thanks,
and have a good weekend!

It's just another Manic Monday....

woahooohwoa. I wish it were Sunday.....Actually I wish it was Saturday...i like Saturdays..

This Saturday was awesome. Spent the day with my dude. We went to three different supermarkets; Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and Safeway. Did you know we're going to buy a turkey for about 50 bucks? But I feel good about it....the turkey has had a good life and...ok i still feel shitty about having it killed. The 50 bucks is more of a thank you to the farmer-Thank you for being a good farmer and not doing gross shit to our turkey. We got lots of healthy and delicious snacks too...we got this peanut butter at whole foods that's made right there and HOLY TAP DANCING SAINTS ON BROADWAY that shit tastes amazing! Also, visited the butcher at whole foods and spent about 70 bucks. I really like their point system on their meat, you know where they were, what they were fed...etc...very interesting. I made a pot roast last night and even Gerr tasted a difference with the meat. It was fresher? something about it tasted better and no it wasn't in our heads...(this is what i was thankful for this weekend)

I officially hate James Bond and all of his movies. I will remember Saturday night for decades to come. We checked online to see what movies were playing. I wasn't interested in James Bond, because "The Man with the Iron Fist" was playing. I love kung foo movies. So we picked a time, headed to the mall and I bought some sweaters. I walk over to buy tickets while Gerry is ordering some Sbarro (crappy) pizza. Our movie time was not listed. I asked the customer service person what happened and he said it was replaced by "Skyfall", and with that I replied that the time wasn't changed on the website and to make me feel better I got some free complimentary tickets. I was already defeated and bummed. I wanted some kung foo action dammit. Lucky for us, we're surrounded by movie theatres, so we went to the second closest one where our movie wasn't playing. We told them what happened and they said the movie was playing a couple of exits up and the previews just started. So I finally got my fix at theatre numero tres.

Where's my shopping bug!!! Sort of went flat...like soda...I've bought two presents. Normally I'm MISS early shopper, but I'm procrastinating! and i'm not helping all of you at all...all 5 of you...lol...let's get on with the shite...

Happy Veterans Day. Thank you for protecting us and serving our country. I hate war, but you are the brave ones who go out to war to make sure the rest of us at home are safe and free. We love you.

Gerr and I took our friends to this house we wanted to see. It was kind of like practice, you know...getting our feet wet. It was cute but not exactly what i want. The area we want to live in reminds me of the town i wish i'd grew up in. There's even an island, which we walked around and explored. It was awesome!

Pawsitive Dog Story
This positive dog story is about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson adopting an older dog. I give them high fives for not adopting from shelters and not a breeder. Good thing to see when celebrities make a difference, then maybe their fans will follow.
thank you Dogster for always lifting up my spirits....

Rock the Vote.

found here
I hope you're voting today, if you haven't voted already. I know in other states voting by mail is only for people with valid excuses, but here in CA you can choose to vote by mail. My ballot has been sent and now i don't have to worry about it.

Nov 6
I am thankful for my friends. I have a handful of close friends. I think back to when i was younger and i had many friends, but I only kept a couple of them close. Having a large amount of friends scare me. I am thankful for the people i call my friends. I am slowly taking down a wall that I created to protect my heart and because of these friends I am thankful.

HA, I just realized...

I spelled deity wrong last week, i wrote diety. HAHAHAHA! Good thing hardly anyone reads this! How embarrassing.

It's official! I need rain boots! Thank you "dieties" (LOL) for the first real rain of the season. It officially feels like fall. I'd like it to continue, but the Giants have to beat the Cardinals tonight, so if you could take a temporary pause between the hours of 5 and 8 that would be great!

I'm thinking this year I want to give my office mates some cool office stuff for Christmas; like pads and post its...check this one out:
talk to the hand post its!
i can't wait until the elections are over. I love you President Obama, but i'm so very tired of all the emails. I already voted, doesn't that mean i don't need to get them anymore?

Last weeks "fireball"/meteor has actually left some remnants behind! In a nearby town, they found a piece of the meteorite! How awesome is that? I knew it was super close!

Black Friday! i can't wait. it's my day to buy my winter clothes! And yes, to buy some Christmas Presents too!

I want a family picture to send friends and family as our Christmas card. I think it would be funny, but Gerr doesn't seem too excited about it. I mean it would be him and I, Bella, Fievel and Misfit.....Misfit is the cat who doesn't like to be held or sleep with us or lay on the couch with us...he likes treats and to be left alone.  He does that deep moan when you pick him up, as if ready to strike.  And Bella is afraid of Fievel. He will be great, unless he starts to knead our laps if we're sitting.....hmm, maybe it isn't such a great idea...

Ring of the day!

Cool sites and stuff that's pretty!
Ideeli-Londonfog purses! they're pretty cute! Reasonably priced too.
Joss and Main-Gal on the go featuring lunch bags, travel bags, cosmetic bags. I like having a lunch bag, that way i don't have to carry a giant tote anymore. Also dog beds, collars and leashes and wall art in the Preppy pet!
Refinery 29-Great Slideshow about Best drugstore makeup and their comparison of the best department store makeup brands! A must see for us makeup fanatics! i learned a lot by clicking here
Chanel-I want flat black nailpolish...but 26 bucks is insane!
Delias-they're having a 20% off sale and there are like 1100 clearance items. This is normally when i buy swimsuits for next year...just a thought everyone...:)
Forever 21 - 50% off outerwear!

POSITIVE DOG STORY
This story is actually about Howard Stern and his rant on the radio regarding Michael Vick. If you haven't heard, he's getting a dog.... I'm glad that someone with a radio show is complaining. Howard Stern may not be perfect, but i have always loved listening to his radio shows. Here is an article about Howard Stern and Michael Vick's dog ownership on dogster

talk to ya tomorrah!

It finally rained.

Not sure how many other people rely on Accuweather, but for the last week it's been showing scattered showers.  For the past few days the sun has been out and when i get off work I am greeted by a nice breeze. No rain. No clouds. Yesterday was one of those days. I took Bella out for a walk and left my sweater at home. At about 9ish i hear a howling wind-or so I thought-I go outside and it's raining. What? I check accuweather and it says clear skies. ???????????????(so many question marks) I am thinking the turd balls who came up with this app have no idea how to predict any kind of weather. hmmph. Today it's very gray, at the least this app has it right. Cloudy. uh huh...

I ran out of half and half. That means I  have to go get some....is it just me, but going to the store for a bottle of half and half makes you drag your feet? sigh...i need some coffee too.

Yankees WOOT WOOT!!!! Did you watch last nights game???? AMAZING! and i have to give MAJOR props to mr Raul Ibanez!
I was in shock for about an hour....2 homeruns??? How??? AMAZING!!!
just in case anyone missed it
I tear up just watching it. I hope we see more of him. I love A Rod, but sorry dude, i think it's time you let this guy play.

Since the weather is so wonky, i wonder if there will be a camping trip....dun dun dun!!! what do you think??? will we be celebrating Gerry's birthday in Nature or in the safety of our home????

Sites and Stuff
Anthem Wares-This site has some pretty cool, expensive things, but for some of us this could be absolutely affordable. It's really easy to sign up too.
Picaboo-Let's face it. We should probably start Christmas shopping now. A cool idea is to make personalized books, 2013 calendars and hey why not make your own Christmas Cards?  Picaboo is a great site and their program for the books makes the process easy and fun. I made one last year for Gerry and I.  It came out great.
Rue La la-Normally i don't feature kids stuff, but one of my closest friends is pregnant and you have to check out these baby gifts. I'm tempted to buy something now for her baby shower next year! LOL! I don't know the sex...dammit.
Hautelook-I'm afraid once this is posted the Calvin Klein shoes will be gone. GREAT Prices....i mean super great. Bedhead is making an appearance too! Lots of cool stuff on Hautelook today!
Joss and Main-some great antiquey like items on here today, i likey. I really like the wall art in English Accents. ooh check out the Perfect Pie too...
Ideeli-ok they have a really cool Ideelstyle sale and i have to tell ya, the items are very pretty. The prices aren't that bad. They have a pair of black BCBG glitter booties for 69.99-I'm a size 9 people...LOL.
Keep.com-the newest thing...think Pinterest, but you can buy stuff from it and it will tell you what stuff is like it etc..So you get to have a keep it button by your browser like a the pin it button, you keep what you like and add to your collection, you can click the item again to see how much it costs and buy it. I'll be playing around with the site! just opened TODAY! ok i'm having too much fun on there...
Forever 21-Go to the website and sign up where it says sign up now. Friends and Family event, maybe it's a big big sale!
Dorothy Perkins-because we women love good deals and love to shop, here's another website with incredible prices. I would hang out in the sales aisle because there are some cute dresses in my size....

it's time for.....
Pawsitive Dog Stories!
This is a great story and it comes with a video. A dog was trapped in a burning house and passed out from smoke inhalation. The owner wasn't in the house so as you probably guessed, the neighbors must have called 911. It took an HOUR and the paramedics saved this pups life. They have special oxygen masks for dogs and cats. That's just amazing and makes me feel better that in some counties and states they see my pets as family members and are willing to do anything to save them.

ok time to mosey. Love y'all.

Nope I didn't watch the debate....

I may need to watch next time...I cannot stand Romney. Seriously he gives me the heebe jeebies. He frightens me and I didn't want to break my television. I love my television. I found my entertainment in "Angel" the series and kept checking facebook. I could hear people online laughing at Romney. Anyway, he's a turd. But you people i don't care what party you vote for, make the right choice and VOTE! Here's a nifty little site that will tell you if you are registered, it's called Turbovote (thanks to my wonderful Purewow email I find out about a bunch of nifty things). They text you reminding you when it's time to vote and other voting related stuffs!

I tried a new recipe yesterday:  Fiesta Tamale Pie-Glad i could find it for you online, the receipe was in one of my new cookbooks i bought at a yard sale. The dish was pretty good! and actually very easy to make! I would add a bit of salt to the recipe-at the end and taste as you go-or add some hot sauce to the beef mixture for a bit of heat, since the cornmeal is very plain tasting it needs something to even itself out. Tonight is Asparagus Chicken. I'll let y'all know how it comes out. I didn't buy sesame oil because it was like 11 bucks. hehe, oh well...olive oil or vegetable oil it is....

Sites you should know about and the cool things featured today (i am thinking that this title is pretty lame, huh?):
  • Rue La La-you may  have to sign up for this page to view it. This caught my eye this morning. I'm fond of this time of year and i love the deep orange and maroon colors that remind me of leaves changing colors.. So, of course I had to check out their Harvest inspired table settings. They have lots of other color themes too-green, purple etc. it's really pretty stuff. Check it out if you're looking to add some spice to your dinner table.
  • Joss and Main-ok it was pretty tough to choose which category i liked best, i think the Noir Boudoir has GREAT items...so pretty.
  • Smashbox-Smashbox and i met a couple of years ago...actually, i am pretty sure it was like 1999 or 2000. I love their stuff, i still have some of the stuff they gave me and no i won't throw it out.  If you like makeup as much as i do, it's a must to sign up to their site and wait for sales. They have daily free items with purchase! me likey the site.
  • Ideeli-euro ceramica sale, such pretty plates, mugs, glassware...
  • True and Co-grrr they have some gorgeous bras...too bad i'm a cheapo and won't buy them...they're so pretty...not even going to link to it, because you get an automatic sign in box. hmmph...meanies.
  • The animal rescue site- has animal costumes! it's that time of year again people; time to torture the pooch!  there aren't that many choices, but the prices are pretty damn good! don't forget to click here to feed some animals!
  • Forever 21 ladies- new :sweaters and skirts and new fall boots!!!
Everyone has a friend that makes you want to hit their head on a wall repeatedly because their decisions sometimes are so bad they make you want to forget them. I have one of those friends...I feel bad for her. She's dating someone she shouldn't be. But I think she thinks she deserves to be treated badly. I often think back to my own relationships and I completely understand where she's coming from, but sometimes enough is enough...I can't watch this stuff and i have to be honest with her no matter what. Sometimes the best thing to do is be honest. Even if it hurts the other person. I am not a yes "man", I will tell you when you're being an arse.

isn't this cute! i want this ice tray!

Ring of the Day...and a snap shot of my new boots...Thanks Gerr Bear for my new ring!!!

 Pawsitive doggy story time
this is another story from the NY times it's amazing. I feel like wow, the military is really stepping up here and i feel super PROUD to be an american. Learning how to treat military dogs. Basically this story is about medics learning veterinary care for the dogs on the field. It's a pretty amazing story and while i read it, I teared up. I want to hug them for taking care of our humans AND dogs. Caring for both because they're fighting for our country...I may not be pro-war, but i am pro bringing our SOLDIERS HOME safe and alive. Please read this story and share on FB.
Thank you and i'll see you all tomorrow!

Somehow I missed a day....

oops...so today I owe you TWO positive dog stories...but first let's go on with the random crap in my head....

I got my yummy stuff from my recent binge on the Forever 21 website. Remember that huge sale i told you about last week....well i got a whole bunch of flowy blouses and tanks. I'm so happy. For a second there yesterday while I was trying on my shirts, i realized that the weather wasn't going to be warm for much longer. But that's when i laughed at myself; these blouses look great with cardigans!  So ladies buy those flowy shirts on sale and pair them with a sweater, layers look cute!
here are some examples...
and then pair with...
looks kinda cute...that shirt may even go with the skirt, but maybe a cute pair of cords or jeans...
not that I'm some type of fashionista, but i rarely let weather bring me down, so enjoy your clothes no matter what season it is...

Hey Radio: Don't tell me there's a chance of thunderstorms while the sun is shining. We never get thunderstorms around here, so I know they're talking about the south bay or east of us....sigh..i like lightning and thunder, especially at night.

Yesterday our power went off for about two hours at work...Funny how many people came in and said  "oh I know what happened..." Here are the following stories we heard about why the power died.

"We saw this bird and it started attacking the power lines and then it fell!"

"We saw a guy working on the pole by the power lines and he fell to the ground..."

I think a bird and a human look very different from eachother...don't you think?

My chronic pain class is awesome. I've been learning a lot and even though my mantra (Positive Thoughts) is simple, it works for me. My positive thoughts have beat my pain a couple of times and limiting the pain talk is actually working for me. Once i focus on something else and I  become involved in something else i feel more relaxed. I'm not saying everything is great and the pain has miraculously disappeared, but that I am feeling better; my mood and my willingness to do things has improved.  Funny thing:we learned how to sit down. I'm terrible at explaining things, but it involved looking at the ground and holding the sides of the chair and keeping a flat back. I keep forgetting to do this....but at least i'm becoming more aware of my movements....sometimes though, i fear I'm too aware.....

If you haven't done so join Opensky it's like those other two websites I constantly mention but with a twist.... :)

Slow danced with Gerr last night to Drive by Alan Jackson.:)

OK TWO POSITIVE DOG STORIES!!!
Ok the first one is 25 Heroic Dogs and How they saved People found on dogguide.net be sure to grab some tissues...Dogs are amazing and these stories are wonderful.
Maybe I'm just feeling super emotional, but this story touched my heart about Tucker Roo and his heroic act. Sometimes our animals try and tell us something, so remember to listen! Here's the story on the Portland Pit Bull Project page

Alrighty all, i must use my jet pack and jet....or whatever...have a great day all!

It's My Fried day!!

I hope many working people across America are taking advantage of this three day weekend and making it a 4 day weekend!! I am! and can you tell by all the exclamation points that i'm super excited and happy???!!! well if you can't tell,  then you're not reading this with much enthusiasm. Cheer up buttercup and let's get on with the fun!

Got my nails done. I realize that a lot of nail salons don't have every color in the rainbow, even if gray isn't one of those colors in the rainbow, but they have colors close to the ones you want. Remember, yesterday i wanted gray and pink. They didn't have gray, but they had a silvery gray. I still think they look cute. What do you think?
i know it's a bit hard to see, but the big toe you can kinda see it. I think it's nice, wish they had the gray. Lesson learned. If you know what you want and you think they may not have the color, buy it and take it with you!

What else, what else...mmmm going out to eat tonight! My livingsocial deal for Chianti Cucina! (remember i need to think of positive things, and what's more positive than FOOD???)  ok so it's one appetizer, 2 entrees and dessert. click here for the menu Appetizer-either the radicchio al forno or bruschetta. Bruschetta has a lot of calories because of the bread....but it's so good.....the steak or the pork chop? and i'm thinking some profiteroles and some coffee....i think tonight is about stepping outside the box a little.  :)

Forever 21 is having a buy one get one free sale....Mens, Womens, Girls, it ends Sunday. here's the link.

POSITIVE THOUGHTS...POSITIVE THOUGHTS....I CAN ONLY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT I FEEL RIGHT NOW. NOT WHAT I MAY FEEL TOMORROW, IN AN HOUR OR THIS WEEKEND.

i am a shopping freak. I know...i know...but who is going to tell you what a good deal is...i mean really?

remember people-don't talk about politics on FB. it's annoying.  Oh and I already know who i'm voting for, so i would really appreciate it if you all stopped asking me for money. thanks.

i signed up for Birchbox and i'm going to tell you whether or not 10 bucks a month is a good deal for these boxes....so stay tuned.

i know what you've been waiting for "Positive doggy story time"
This article covers a bunch of different dogs and cats helping people in the community. It's really a great article. Read it. It's inspiring. I feel really good sharing these positive stories, because it helps us remember that bad things may happen everyday, but good things happen ALL the time and good people do exist.

If i don't get back on tomorrow. just want to say have a great holiday weekend! be safe!!!
See you next week!

Cold weather in the Bay Area....

that's right. BURR. it's cold. And there's this wind blowing that makes me wish i was bundled up in one of my super comfy heavy sweaters warming my fingers on a hot mug of cocoa with tiny marshmallows. Wait, what season are we in? Fall? Winter? oh no that's right it's Summer in the Bay Area.

So my weekend was pretty girly. I went shopping. One of my favorite places for jeans is Ross, I look in the juniors section and the womens section, because sometimes you can find THE pair in either one. Well I got my size 8's in Womens and size 9's in jrs and brought one pair of size 7's in with me, just in case. ALL of the jeans were too big, except for the size 7 skinny jean. People! it is official I'm down a size!!!  I was super stoked about my weight loss finally showing on the clothing front, i gave the lady my unwanted jeans and skipped to the jr aisle to see if i could find some cool jeans in my size. My heart sunk. There were 4 pair of jeans and all had some ugly butt stamp on them. I went over to the women's section praying that there were size 6's and there weren't any. sigh. I'm not even going to tell you the fiasco at the counter with the new girl and her frozen terminal and having to stand there while they rescanned my crap three times then finally moved me to another register...no i'm not going to tell you about that.
I gave up on Saturday trying to find some jeans, but Sunday was a new day and I decided to go to Forever 21. I LOVE Forever 21. Love it. I can hang out there all day and just keep finding things i want. So I took a DEEP breath and told myself, just grab jeans. It was my mantra. I entered the store and my brain was like grab that-to this cute dress, grab that to a babydoll dress on sale and i was about to grab this yellow shirt when i stopped because I don't wear yellow. I stood there and scanned the store and saw JEANS!!!  I went directly there and got my new size, prayed they'd fit, went into the changing room and found two pairs i loved. I decided i hated the dresses (which I didn't) and ran to the cashier. Upon bringing my purchases to the cashier, i had to go through the obstacle course of cute cheap shit and grabbed some nail polish, a couple of cute cheapy purses, and a shopping bag. Upon scanning the girl says, "These jeans are buy one get one free. You can get anything on the sale racks for equal or lesser price." GULP. I just ran and grabbed the same kind of jeans i just bought. I was not going to be trapped into shopping. NO NO NO. phew. relieved after leaving the store with my new jeans, I decided it was time to go home and purge some of my things.

I started with my underwear drawer and weeded out some under things i no longer wear. The bras were the hardest, but i managed to get rid of 4 that i don't wear and now my collection is at an even 20. I moved on to my old jeans. I can't part from some of them. They've been my comfy cozy jeans for the last 5 years. My jeans have actually grown and shrunk with me...I think. sigh. well i didn't throw them out. I only threw out the ones I have hated wearing for the last couple of years. So yeah that was only two pairs of jeans....really my purge didn't make more room for anything, but i did try my best to get rid of things. I just really like my wardrobe! going forward though, i think it's complete for a couple of seasons. Who the hell am i kidding....anyone who reads this blog knows i love clothes, shoes, bras, barbies etc....

i've got to stop though, for so many reasons, even though i'm paying those things off.  It looks like Bella will need more vet care, but we'll talk about that tomorrow....

The award for the most annoying thing in the world

Goes to my ARM and NECK. Come on heal damn you. Granted it's getting "better", but better for me is I can function WITHOUT muscle relaxers. I don't like being dependent on drugs, especially these kinds. I know i take some drugs that are preventative-for migraines and my proctitis. but you all know what i mean...bla. oh and yesterdays blog was so much better, but when i went to publish it, the publish button didn't do squat. pissed me off.
  • The internet is dangerous. very. Why? Because people become hypochondriacs when they're sick. I plead guilty to this as well, i am in no way innocent from the googling and the Webmding....BUT, I do a lot more research than most people.  For instance, Gerry is sick and he has some little symptoms that he's freaking out about and he looks it up and people are saying stuff like Hand, foot and mouth disease, thrush and other diseases I can't even pronounce...well, ahem..people of the internet LOOK UP this stuff. first of all unless you're an infant or a very old person #1 and #2 you most likely won't get unless you have a terrible immune system. Poor guy read to me people's "strange" symptoms and i looked at him and was like sounds like they have a flu and a fever and it's just their immune system attacking the viral infection. sigh. He needs a doctor...insurance...something.....witchdoctor maybe?
  • Holy Cow OHIO! Your bill is on it's way to the Governor!!! I have to link you to this article and then  you can read all the comments of Ohioans....House-axes-25-year-old-pit-bull-law I like that this article is pretty straight forward. Giving you the pluses and minuses and etc...but when you read how people talk over there, i shiver. For instance....
"The 'pit bull' has the distinction or characteristic that, when they grab on, they don't let go," Mr. Goodwin said. "You can say all you want about all these other breeds, but 'pit bulls' are the choice for drug dealers and other bad folks for a reason."

"Locally, Toledo has a real problem with gangs, and [police] used to use that law to help control the streets of Toledo," he said. "It used to be if someone was out walking two or three 'pit bulls,' they were inviting the police to shake them down. Now, they can walk 10 'pit bulls' and the police can't stop them because they don't have probable cause. You can hide drugs, but it's pretty hard to hide a 'pit bull.' "

WOW. these statements are uhm...SCARY! isn't this what you call PROFILING?  isn't that something you're not supposed to do??? I have a pitty, we'll call her that even though i believe she's a staffy, but i don't dress, look or act like a gangster. Thank God i don't live in Ohio. Also reading the comments well, you can read them and decide for yourself. Some people are very smart on there and others well are quite dumb...
  • massssaaaage later. I cannot wait. Which also means it's order dinner night. I'll be too relaxed to want to do anything, oh my, i left dishes in the sink...bleh...fuck it.
  • hmm, i was thinking about my birthday....i don't know if i want any presents...I think i may ask people to get me dog stuff...and then i want to give it to BadRap. How crazy does that sound? I want to visit the facility on my birthday too...See if Bella and I can go there for some more training. That would be awesome. I want to do something special for a cause I believe in. For a place i truly believe in...Alright i wrote them an email.  I'd rather do this than anything else for my birthday. I don't even need a brunch.  just this http://www.badrap.org/node/92 i sent you to the training classes...i want to do this soooo bad.....
  • just in case you want to go shopping for undies and bras, forever 21 has a good sale and i can't look at it....i have enough!!!!

super sad face, i forgot my glehsses at home

hmmph. yes, i can still see but it's annoying. The wonderful boyfriend of mine will be delivering my glasses on his way to the city. I can't wait for my second pair of glasses.
  • don't you hate it when you forget what you were going to start with first???? dammit. OH well i have to give two happy birthday shout outs to Cameron and Julia. Both Born this weekend two seperate days. Congrats Teri and Ang on your babies. I've known lots of mommies have babies this year thanks to a group I belong to. It's been exciting to see these mommies make beautiful babies. So congratulations to all of you!!!! We have some more coming so YAY!!!
  • oh i need a week two medal.
two weeks. Haven't bought a pack nor smoked a whole cigarette.
  • How's the coffee table doin? well i figure i'll show you the pictures when i'm done. but I sanded and now i'm scraping. :)
  • Also made some coasters this weekend. Not finished with them yet. they came out ok, but i want to do more to them. Do you want to know how to make your own coasters??? here's your link! it's quite fun.
  • Yesterday we went to an estate sale and I found a vintage suitcase. It's probably from the 60's and in mint condition. it was made by Vogue Custom Made San Francisco. I've only found two links on Google. Seems rare. But i did find theboomcase they make boomboxes out of old suitcases.
interesting yes...but I really like my suitcase so I think i'll keep it and use it for other stuff like traveling-not on a plane ofcourse. I would hate for them to lose it or scuff it...I did find some cool stuff in there. An unopened box of kleenex tissues copyright year of 1964, matches, best western sanitary bags, and an old ticket to Disneyland. hmmm, isn't that just odd.
  • Of course now i need to know all about how old this ticket is and I'm driving myself mad about finding out the year. I did find an AWESOME blog about disney vintage tickets, but i may have to do my studying later...vintagedisneylandtickets.blogspot.com ok..found it...lol. here's the ticket
there are a few more attractions on the ticket i found and the 50C is 75C-which i thought stood for cents, but i'm probably very wrong. Anyway it's pretty good. Glad someone blogs about this cool stuff!
  • Forever 21 has free shipping today on orders over 21 bucks! Sent you to the promotion, buy 2 and save.
  • Am I not aware of something I should be aware of??? Why would i buy tweezers for 25 bucks when Walgreens sells them for 5? If someone can explain this to me and prove that the 25 dollar tweezers cause less pain, prohibit regrowth of hair and feed you s'mores then I will go out and buy said 25 dollar tweezers.
  • San Francisco Whale Tours on livingsocial. I'm jumping on that right now. I can't pass it up. Goes to Point Bonita lighthouse and leaves from Pier 39. 90 minutes. I want to go...tomorrow. lol.
  • Oh great news. The wedding is Saturday. I'll probably getting that monthly devil thing on Saturday. everyone dance now.
Personally i think there should be helpful little mice when you need them to entertain you while you're cramping for an entire week and losing half of your blood supply. NO i'm not Pmsing.
  • So what's for dinner peeps??? I'm making my man and I STEAKS! i also think i'm going to make him a yummy green bean casserole as the side dish. ooh lovin the din din idea. maybe he'll even grill em...one can only hope.
That's all for me folks. I've got shit to do. Have a beautiful monday.

I thought Bacon solved everything?

Coupla things about bacon and my AM....
  • I woke up this morning, weighed myself only to discover I lost the two pounds that I gained! So I decided to make some bacon....I now feel like I've gained those two pounds back.
  • I thought the smell of bacon would wake Gerry up. It's a manly alarm clock, is it not? It didn't the poohead stayed in bed longer than he has this week. So not fair.
  • I only had two pieces of bacon on top cheesey toast. I think i can go back to sleep.
Enough about Bacon. I only had two pieces...super sad face here....
  • I had my eye exam yesterday. It cost me zero dollars. Apparently my prescription is the same, but my astigmatism has gotten a tad worse. Not too much, but probably enough to make me feel a bit discombobulated. lucky for me I found a great pair of glasses! I can't wait to get the call that they're ready. Thank you vision plan for saving me about 50% which still cost me out of pocket- 163 buckaroos. But they're my eyes and the only ones i got. So new rule is i should wear my glasses more-to prevent eye strain and the such. I will have a pair at home and a pair for work. Problem is my new glasses are too cute...How well i NOT want to take them home????
  • I'd like to thank the ASPCA for finally speaking up about dogs in pick up truck beds I'm hoping this issue gets dealt with accordingly-tickets, fines, etc. Too many animals get hurt because of riding in the back of a bed of a truck. I've actually seen the dog in the bed of the truck and NO ONE in the front seat...come on really????
  • Have i told you I probably won't be getting my ergo desk....boohoo
  • Do you need another addiction?? For some people it's Facebook, now with Pinterest forget it your time just went poof. Well for all of you who love clothing as much as i do there's something new....

delicate rain

i had to make a new account, because i must have entered in the wrong email address me so smart. anyway, check out polyvore.com and have fun!!! so many different styles and it's really a blast to play with...seriously, i'm never gonna get anything done...
  • By the way. I think a thank you would have been in order in regards to me making bacon. i didn't get one. next time i should throw bacon at him. just kidding.
  • i'm not gonna tell you what's on ideeli...lots of pretty stuff. ok...and some cute stuff on hautelook...
  • forever 21 has knit dresses on sale. they're pretty cute 12.40!
  • must bring in pillow for my chair at lunch.
  • One day shopping even on Buy.com...what is it with me and shopping...people it's a problem, that i'm trying to make your problem....lol..
  • So I started Step 1 of my table. Which I promise to take and upload pictures. I'm a lazy bitch when it comes to doing that. I started cleaning the top of my table. Already looks pretty! haha. I didn't take a picture of the dirty table...sorry. Still have to clean it which i think will take a day and half. This project is keeping me happy.
  • Tonight I may make some lasagna. Not a heaping humongo tray of it, but a small yummy size. I did get those no boil noodles. Never used them before, i'm crossing my fingers. I have my homemade meat sauce, mozzarella, ricotta and noodles. I'll have to find something else to add, but i think i just want to keep it simple. Table is on my mind! oh and some cheesey bread. :)
Ok everyone, time to go. Have a great day and I will be back this weekend with pictures and the such!
i have to keep it random you know....

I had a good nights sleep.

Now i'd like to go back to bed. But first!!!
  • Remember I bought tickets from Living social for my mom and grandma to go to Cirque du Soleil? Well, they didn't double charge me-the amount is still pending so I am still waiting for my money to stay in my account. AND i just found out this morning that there is NO gifting allowed per Radio City music Hall. Not Living social's fault, but it would have been nice to know. I would also like to say that the customer service people are AMAZING. Don't email-takes toooo damn long to hear back-just call and you will get an actual human being. I'm so sad now. I have to make it up to them somehow.
  • You learn something new everyday. I have heard about cooling a dog by dampening its' belly with a cool cloth, but i didn't know you could dip their paw in cool, not cold, water. OR using alcohol wipes. Awesome. If you have a doggy get more doggy tips at daily dog tip
  • oooh forever 21 has stuff for 3.50 cents. so for those of you allowed to shop head over here. I buy my tanktops, dresses, jeans, shoes, shirts...etc...here...I know i'm not 21 (i'm 34), but some of the stuff is not just teeny bopper crap and their sales rock.
  • Soooo, we have a pillowtop mattress, it's pretty tall. We have ONE fitted sheet that just happens to fit it because it's that cotton overstretched material. I am frightened to see how much one fitted sheet costs. I won't even google it. i am scared. I think all strangely sized mattresses should come with a mandatory fitted sheet.
  • I am repeating my daily mantra "can't shop, can't shop, can't shop" over and over as I am going through my daily hautelook and ideeli sites. I can't help but look and I think it's important to practice window shopping.
  •  Do you vacuum outdoor rugs? and why would someone pay 400 bucks for an outdoor rug? I don't think i need to explain myself here.
  • it's time do the hair this weekend. The grays and white are taking over the top of my head and i'm feeling aged. I think when that happens it automatically gives you wrinkles.

  •  I think i found a new book to add to my collection
read the review on moms.today.com, i think the F word sells it to me personally. :)
  • dance baby, dance...

Attention youtube people of the world-NO ONE wants to see you dance like Fergie, unless you are Fergie OR you're being funny. If you're 13 and you're throwing your "rump" around like it's something special, FYI you look ridiculous.

  • lol...Vanilla Ice is on my ipod. Listening to Ice, Ice baby.
  • I love reading errors of spelling mistakes like this

The Best Gift for Your Baby - Write the Dairy for Your Child

dairy...or did you mean DIARY....

over and out peeps! have a great day!
