Girl's night...

well there are two males involved, if cat's count...Well then it wouldn't really count because Bella is a dog....so anywhoo, it's really just a "me" night. It's cool, I get along with me...Gerr will be going up north with the guys to have a wheelin' day tomorrow, which will turn into "mud"ding around because it's sorta raining. You see, what's happening outside isn't rain. It's like a drizzle mist and it must have been happening all night because the ground and everything is wet.

So what will I do tonight??? I will not be baking. That's for sure. My poor thighs and my butt are not happy with my baking. This is the problem with fall/winter the sun goes down so early that walking around this foul neighborhood is sketch at best. (The neighborhood isn't that bad, but it's not the best either). So i think i need to relax, watch some good movies, play with my dog, order some food (hmmm, maybe i shouldn't), and read....wow, i sound like i'm 50. I'm just not a party girl. I don't drink. I hate bars. What the hell else am i supposed to do???? I dunno, maybe I'll figure out something a bit better than staying at home and watching TV.

Ok these cranberry bliss bars from Starbucks are friggin delicious and evil...why oh why am i eating this???
wasn't i just complaining about my thighs??? remind me to never look into how to make these...

Something pissed me off the other day and it has to do with another blog i read and respect. It's a cooking blog and they were talking about how they make a Thanksgiving Turkey. She said the word "Butterball". Sorry, but if you are a cook or an aspiring chef or you're in the culinary industry you do NOT endorse Butterball anything.  Besides the kind of turkey-hello can we say garbage? She didn't care, she said. That evening it was irritating me. These people (two ladies) love to cook and yadda yadda and some of their recipes sound really good, but when it comes down to it I realized they are fakes. They aren't real cooks, they're just housewives who can't afford something better than a chemically treated turkey and they're trying to teach you how to make it "saltier". (I know, I sound like a bitch) I found the part where she "didn't care" a bit harsh. She's teaching people how to cook good meals and using CRAP ingredients. What's more, she's advertising a company that has been in the media regarding their mistreatment of their turkeys. The videos are disturbing and disgusting. Remember what you're eating. At some point you have to realize that at one point that Butterball turkey on your table had sores, puss, and who knows what type of infections...have fun. I'll stick with my $70 turkey who had a pleasant life in the meadows and ate healthy stuff.  Here's an article based on the mercy of animals video about Butterball abuse.
I dare you to watch it. If you don't fine, but don't act aloof to the world and the fact that this crap exists. People like this are sick. They're the same type of people who staple puppies to a train track. and yeah, look that up...it's real too.

Nov 15 and 16
For these two days, i am thankful for me. I am thankful for who i am. I am thankful for the love in my heart. i am thankful for my compassion. I am thankful for my guilt. I am thankful for me.

pawsitive dog stories!
yup, you read that right...I need lots of positive stories today! I need to remind myself of all the truly beautiful and caring people on this planet...

#1. This story is brought to you by Care2Causes a woman crawls into a sewer to save a dog! How many of us would do that???? I would try, but I know that my boyfriend would ultimately be the hero....This woman was brave. The article also opens our eyes to the rest of the world and the rescues there.
#2. Normally I don't read about stuff like Subaru's Share the love event. They promote adoption and raise a lot of money to the ASPCA. Please help spread the word about this event. I think it's awesome and whatever helps the animals find homes and get funding for their shelters, animal cruelty investigations, disaster relief etc...well it's all heroic and positive in my book.
#3. Meet Ninja and her owner. One of the dogs from that Bronx dogfighting ring....look at how healthy that little boo looks!

Because i believe we need to have more positive dog stories in our world, I think that if anyone has anything they want to say or a story they want to share, please do. Not sure how many people read my blog because of my love for animals...but if you do and you want to share something with me...please do...
thanks,
and have a good weekend!

Migraines, schmigraines

2 migraines, 20 days. Boohoo. Increased daily meds...fingers crossed...let's see what happens.

sorry i'm late to the tea party, but i've been go mode since i got here. Pounding headache most of the day, but as long as I can see, that means I can work...The day is starting to slow down so let's get to down to business.

What i was thankful for yesterday 11/8/12
My friends and family. I know i've already thanked them, but this is different. I am thankful that i have wise friends and family members. They remind me i have a lot to learn and they're all little teachers. There's a lot i don't know about in the world, but when i'm ready to learn something i realize i have many friends that are there to teach me. i guess i never really knew that. or maybe i wasn't paying attention. My goal is to pay more attention....

What I am thankful for today 11/9/12
My job. I have worked at a handful of places in my lifetime and always have seem to luck out on some great bosses and coworkers. I'm pretty lucky and I'll never take it for granted. Partly because I have always had bosses who have understood my "issues"; the migraines that come out of nowhere, the back issues that so easily rock my world....Maybe that's every workplace, but the people I work with are different. They will drive me home or to the doctor if something happens. They'll walk me to my car in the rain because I can't see and i need to be somewhere I feel safe (don't worry Gerry picked me up from my car in the parking lot). I also have learned so much from all of my bosses, here and in my past. I've gained a lot of knowledge about the type of work i do, do the nature of the food business (not just waitressing, but food-healthy food, farm to fork etc) and now the Garbage business-i've learned so much about recycling, what's going on in our world, what plastics really become...and of course in my area of accounting I think i'm never done learning. I've been doing this since I was in my 20's. I somehow stumbled into it and i never got out. A girl who hated Math....I should write a book....lol

shite and shit...
Epicurious-go here for pie recipes and tips-from doughs  to fillings, servings, etc...
Opensky-Powercube emergency lighting and charging I want one....$75 bucks
Ideeli-if you're an ideeli person they're happy hour sale is happening right now!
Kleinfelds-that great big store is having a sample sale in Manhattan where 10% of the proceeds will go to the hurricane Sandy relief fund.

and i got nuttin else my friends...
hope you have  great weekend!

And the winner is....

this GUY!!!!
found here

And i am ecstatic!!! I heard some grumbling on FB and I was astounded when the reasons they were pissed was because they had issues regarding RELIGION!!! People i will say it until I am blue in the face...LEAVE RELIGION OUT OF POLITICS. Be happy that you have the freedom to be whatever religion you choose. THAT is what this country is about. The freedom to speak as you like, the freedom of the press....etc...REMEMBER!!! So leave your personal views and your personal religious preferences and persecutions to yourself. Just because you don't find certain things right for your family, that doesn't mean the rest of America CARES what you think. Just be HAPPY you have the right to believe and love any God you choose.  So silly. So stupid even. People forget, time and time they forget the true meaning of being an American. Get on board or ship out to the mother country. It's time to move forward, so let's go.

Nov 7.
Today I am thankful to be an American. A place where I have the freedom to believe in my own God and accept people around me for who they are. This place where I can write freely on my blog and my government allows it. A place where i can vote. A place where I am in charge over MY own body.  Thank you America. I am proud to be an American.

November already....

This year is going by too fast...I can't take it anymore...it's getting too close to the end of the year. Stop it and slow down a bit...except for work; that can go fast.

I hope you all had a happy halloween! We had a great time at Asia SF and we looked great! Here's a pic of me in my costume.

Here's Gerry:

I would put up pics of the girls, but I never know how people feel about having their pictures on my page...soo...let me tell you, they looked awesome! :)

I showed people from work the picture above of my costume and they didn't believe it was me...hahahaha. I guess i dress like crap at work...or not slutty.

I am fighting a cold or something. I took my temperature yesterday at lunch and it was 95.7. Pretty damn low. I emailed my doc and she said i'm probably fighting something off. I shouldn't be at work...but hey tell the piles of paper in front of me to magically input themselves into my system. So if you ever find yourself with a low temperature, beware of all the stuff you read, sometimes you're just fighting an infection or a cold....My temp this morning was closer to 97.5 which is my normal. if i have a 98 something, i usually am too warm or getting sick.

Cool sites and shites

American Humane Association-get some holiday cards and give money to a good cause!!!
Hautelook-cool gift idea alert!!! check out Rock the trend: Edgy jewelry. Nice pieces!!! here are some examples!  and by the way GREAT PRICES!!!

somewhat of a positive dog story
I know that people may/do read this so i need you all to go to Rescue Ink's facebook page. If you're in New York they need help. These guys went back to their shelter even when they were told they couldn't cross the bridge. They are cleaning and need help. They need pet supplies. The building still stands yet there's no power. They NEED little things...every day stuffs...Please check out their fb page and find a way to help out. I have to look through my towels and stuff and see what i can send. But i will be helping!

Frolicking Furry friday.

Hola My Amigos,

How art thou today? I'm a bit bummed out after the Yankee loss last night, but I must carry the hope for tonight's game. Come on Yankees!!! Last night i had to take a muscle relaxer, because the game was intense. 13 innings of praying, hoping, talking to the TV, making everyone (Gerry and Bella) wear Yankee something for good juju, etc. I was wearing the jersey and I tried to convince Gerr that he should hold the purse, but he didn't like the idea so i had it hanging off the TV (flat screen). I donned Bella in my Yankee tshirt and let Gerry wear my visor.  We did everything we could. Oh well, tonight is another game and i will hold the torch of hope.

Bella with my yankee shirt on

Anytime you plan a getaway, whether it's camping or a quick getaway to the coast, you need to well...PLAN. This camping trip was decided on this week. But nothing was really planned or is ready for that matter. The boat has speakers on the tower, but they're not hooked up. No one has picked up the wood yet. Some food has been purchased, but i'm afraid it's not enough. I'm praying it gets warmer and it looks like it will...so we'll see. Oh and we better get the game on the radio, or i will flip out.

Well I gave Gerry two of his presents. He wanted a dutch oven for camping. I guess he says the one i got is the wrong one. Too bad hon, i'm not returning it-it's beautiful-cast iron and i bet it will work just fine. I told him if he wants a wetsuit i'll get him one. Trying to buy a present for him is pretty difficult unless you know EXACTLY what he wants. I should just get him gift cards.

Really in the mood for breakfast all of a sudden. I could use an eggs benedict right about now.

American Apparel is a bit lame.  What is up with their sizes?  Medium is 4-6? on what planet? Sorry but that doesn't fly with me. I think it's time for this company to get it right. And guess what this isn't sexy:
pull your pants up

UHM WHAT????-my old band is playing at a "nostalgia fest"??? I doubt i'll be singing, but that will be something i have to go see...bleh...old memories good and bad are flooding my brain...I think i'm going to stop breathing. lol. i haven't performed or sang in front of anyone for years. Luckily it won't be just me.. this band had 30 people total. BREATHE!

Ring a ding ding...
i know i've been pretty bad about posting my rings! sorry, i'll try not to forget to do that.

Cool sites with stuffs on em...
  • Rue la la-ok ok..i know i keep sending you guys over there, but really they have some great deals for any size pocketbook. Check it out, you got Sundays in the kitchen featuring great kitchen items at can't beat it prices, Fendi (for my richer friends), Pinkberry eight item tasting card for 15 bucks! Remember if you buy something that month, you don't have to pay shipping for the rest of the month. Can we say Hell yeah???
  • Hautelook-Ring Sale, tanning stuff, nail dryers, etc...
  • Ideeli-Patra sale. Beautiful gowns on sale for GREAT prices. i mean super great. I am so tempted, but i can't. I bought bra's yesterday...no more shopping for me...hmmph.
  • Julep-this link is only going to take you to some polishes, but i got an email about the Halloween gift box, comes with two polishes, a skull bracelet and a skull scarf for 20 bucks! Awesomeness!! see what you're missing??
  • Epicurious-I want to make this....Banana Chocolate Chip Cake with Peanut butter frosting. yeah...i want this.
PAWSITIVE DOG STORY
This story is more like a testimonial of how sometimes you go into a shelter looking for a specific dog and you leave with a Pitty. I love how they are surprised by how loyal and loving and willing to be trained the dogs are. I like reading the comments below the story, because it's a fairly common tale. The pitty can win over anybody. :)
found on the ASPCA website cuz i gets their emails...

I love presents in the mail...

that i've bought for myself! I received two of my subscription boxes.

Kate Somerville Exfolikate-(cute name for the product) Basically, you wash your face first and then spread  a thin layer on your face. I wet my hand and then massaged it in. The product was green and grainy, it did a great job i thought, i was as smooth as a baby's butt.
Erno Laszlo Phormula 3-9 Balm-first thing i noticed is it didn't have instructions, so i had to look up this product. To my amazement I noticed the price for the full size is $265. Why offer me a sample of something that is so expensive. No way in Hades i am going to buy it? But whatever, I applied to my face and i do have to admit my face was softer.
Oscar Blandi Pronto Wet hair Color deluxe-this is a conditioner and it's cool, you don't have to use too much of it. I'm still getting used to the smell.
Jane Iredale Self Tanner-I don't use self tanner. Maybe i'll give this to someone who does, but i fear that it will only cover one arm.
Aromachology Clean and Fresh-I found it to be a powerful crisp scent. I didn't mind it, but i'm still not sure of it.

Neutrogena Natural Lip Balm-when i got this in the mail at lunch yesterday this was the first thing i put in my pocket. Kinda reminds me of normal chapstick.
NYX Roll on Shimmer-Not really sure what i'll do with this, but i guess Halloween is coming up soooo...
Ferro Blush X3-the packaging for this was all wrong. I lightly dipped my brush in the small jar and holy crapola super color on my cheek. I didn't like it one bit. Blush should be in compact form and be subtle. I have pink dust on my robe and all over my vanity...Not happy. thinking of using it as eyeshadow.
ALFAPARF MILANO Cristalli Liquid Serum- I'm a serum girl, so i had to try this today. i like it. my hair feels soft and not too oily. Could also be the conditioner above, but since this came in a little jar i think i can keep using it for over a week. or put it in my purse and take it with me!
$20 Sole Society Gift Card-Why thank you Total Beauty, How did you know i already ordered shoes from there!!!!

Gerry's Birthday plans are turning into a camping trip. It's actually sounding like a lot of fun because these are most of our friends going. We're celebrating his company and his birthday. Does that mean I have to bring his presents with us?? i hope not, because the dutch oven he's been asking for is a bit too heavy for me to lug around. Which reminds me I need to get him a card and wrap his gifts. I could have sworn i got more. I am so bad this year. ACTUALLY I'm going to blame him, because I've been asking him for a month what he's wanted for his birthday. I know he wants a tablet, but I'd rather buy one on Black Friday when the sales are good. He did say he wants a new wetsuit. Listen to this, he was trying to sell 3 wetsuits at the garage sale. That means he has 4. sigh.

I want to try the yankees lady perfume....

So when is it going to rain? Because how nice would it be to stay home, watch movies and BAKE all weekend long?????

Did you know loafers are making a comeback? I remember wearing penny loafers during my Benetton and Gap phase, which was like 21 years ago. Yes i'm old...well not old..but very well preserved. I need to get some plaid skirts and V neck sweaters.

I am having a hard time relaxing today, maybe i should lay down.

Sites and stuff on them.
  • Epicurious- If you haven't signed up for their emails, you're a dork. Sorry, but really they have some great ideas and may inspire you to try something different or maybe enhance the recipes you already love. Just sign up, I get nothing if you do, but you will get a lot of inspiration!
  • Hautelook-great sales! shoes, boots and American Apparel has new items daily!
  • Rue La La-Firstly, i love this site. Thanks to them I have an affordable set of pots and pans that are BEAUTIFUL!!! Also this site is for any pocketbook size. Right now this link will take you to the Robert Mondavi wine sale. I don't drink, but the holidays are coming and taking a good bottle of wine with you to a party or an event or even giving wine as a gift is thoughtful. Prices aren't too bad.
  • Open Sky-this is just a fun site. check it out. lots of different items for sale
  • idausa.org- stands for in defense of animals. it's a great site, has links to their blog. Really a wonderful site. Please like them on facebook too!.
it's time for........drumroll here....

pawsitive dog story!
More like a positive dog picture. This dog was on the table, ready to be euthanized. Someone saved her life. Does this picture say THANK YOU? yes it does. There are dogs in shelters dying EVERYDAY. I will never understand buying from a breeder when all of these dogs go to the shelter. Save a life today. They will love you forever.

I have returned....

For a couple of days I couldn't think of anything to write. I attempted to write on Tuesday, but i sounded like i was babbling about nothing (which is what i normally do), so i decided fuck it and deleted the entire thing. Lots of things i want to share with you today. So let's get on with it...

  • I feel like i've been to too many funerals in the last 3 years. Everyone needs to stop dying. I am not a fan of losing people i care about. I went to one yesterday for my boss/owner of the company I work for. The church was packed, it's not even that packed for midnight mass (as a catholic i go once a year to Midnight mass on Christmas).  The service was followed by some touching speeches and then a lunch which everyone was invited to. The whole thing was beautiful, but seriously everyone stop dying because i don't want to go to anymore. :(
  • FYI Google Play is celebrating 25 billion apps and for the next 5 days you can get games and apps for 25 cents! awesomeness.
  • I had THE scariest experience yesterday, but i can't share it with all of you, because I haven't told my mom. I guess i'll have to tell her this weekend, because I need to write about it.
  • I want to share with you some of the websites that I like to check out. Some you may have heard about, maybe some you haven't. Check them out though:
trulia.com-I'm on the look out for homes in my area and this site gives you the history of the houses for sale and the estimated property taxes. You can even check out celebrity homes for sale!
joyus.com-this site is a bit different when it comes to shopping. Each item has a video, kinda like it's own mini commercial, so you get to see how the item works or show you how to use it. It's pretty nifty. Seems like the items are full price though, still it shows you cool foods, kitchen gadgets, containers, clothing, jewelry etc...Purdy kewl.
purewow.com-it's a stylish daily email that will share a style, a cuisine, a gadget and then tell you a couple of places where you can find it. And you can get discounts from retailers just by being a purewow member which is of course free!
All of these are free, by the way
Plukka-well this dandy, expensive site is for people like me who just love jewelry. The prices are marked down but for me, personally, still a bit expensive. I will keep looking and checking it out, you know....
Modewalk.ok the only problem with this website is that you have to sign in to see it...I know poo right??? but you can connect with facebook and poof there you see it. it's a free site as are all of these. Ok so not all of us can afford a skirt for like 5k and not everyone wears exactly what's on the runway, BUT we can check out the styles that are hitting the streets and incorporate them into our daily lives by buying similar items that we can afford. That's why i like this site. I have found items i would love (if i was a bijjilionaire) and actually found similar items on ideeli or hautelook for like a tenth of the price. So check this site out if you want, but I'm tellin ya, most of us normy's will not be able to afford buying stuff off this site.
Opensky.com-is kinda like joyous and purewow but items are one sale. Items tend to lean on the expensive side BUT some seem worth it. This site isn't as expensive as, let's say Modewalk. Check it out.
epicurious.com-mmmm daily emails of fantastic recipes and ideas. this one is a must.
joss and main-Welcome to your ideeli/hautelook site exclusively for home furniture, garden essentials and kitchen stuffs. :)

Shop online at Forever21 and get fifty percent off this weekend

I'll continue with more cool things you may want in your inbox next week!

ok POSITIVE DOG STORY!!!
Now this is a good story about a dog finding help for it's owner and i have to say a good samaritan who wasn't afraid of the dog.  Read here.  Just a reminder that our dogs or any ones dog can be a hero. Be kind to your potential hero pups at home.

have a great weekend all!

Wordy Wednesday...

Hola all,
and here we go..

Hey Radio Stations: Some people don't like alcohol-i am not the biggest fan of it and I hate alcohol commercials on the radio....and in the morning they make me want to barf. I don't care about Crown Royal, so the least you can do is find a more appropriate time to air these commercials, like let's say AFTER 5.... oh and this really annoying Tapioca jingle (who the hell is writing these things) makes me want to kick my computer.

Gerr's birthday is next month... i have no idea what to get him....I think i may have planted an idea in his head that I may regret! A tablet...He did get me one for Christmas, you know...I think for that kinda thing we may want to wait for a good sale. But it is his birthday. I can't figure out what to get a person who gets himself everything...it's like me, except I love diamonds and that's always a good present for me..I don't think he'd appreciate a diamond i would wear...hmmm...

Going out to dinner tonight! Thank you livingsocial for providing me and Gerr some date nights with his busy schedule and all! Chianti Cucina in Novato is deeeelicious...check out the menu i have probably already given you the menu before, but what the hell...look again.

Lunch is being provided today. I know, I know...I'm also going out to eat tonight, so i ordered a salad. a Chicken caesar....i want to whine about it: WHY WHY WHY!!! Why couldn't they do it another day when i didn't already have dinner plans and planned on eating a large amount of calories...I was about to write cavities...lol.

Someone needs to make these new touchscreen phones a little more scratch resistant! I have no idea how-i am pretty good about keeping my phone in a different compartment away from my keys and any other scratchy objects, but there's a scratch in the middle of my phone!!!! It's not noticeable unless the phone is off, but it is pissing me off...

Here's today's ring!
Pretty soon i'll be running out of rings to show you...i guess that's a good reason to buy more...lol

mmm check out epicurious' recipe for Beef Empanadas i'm hungry....

so much more that i wanted to write, but i just don't have time...

Positive dog story
Pitbull gets hero award for saving family video included on the Channel 7 news page. Good to know that the dog got a medal regardless of breed. She stayed with the daughter after she passed out from the smoke; both got smoke inhalation. We can all hope and pray that our canines (regardless of breed) will be there for us if anything happens. Thank you Diamond for being a good dog.

That's all folks!

This is a warm and fuzzy treat for sure.

And how was your weekend???

I see a lot of people come by and check my blog out, but few ever leave responses. You can if you want you know? At least then i know i'm not alone here bla bla blaing to the masses of excited smurfs in my head. So the question is how was your weekend. I'm scared to ask. I may not get anyone to comment. lol. Well I'll tell you my weekend was FUN! I got to do 3 things off of my weekend "bucket list"-Food trucks, Lower Haight Art Walk AND the bring your own big wheels event, which I did not participate. I would probably not be typing this right now, because I'd be in some type of muscle spasmed coma. Everything was fun. Every part of my weekend was amazing. Saturday was warm and my neighbor/friends and I soaked it all up in the patio. Yesterday's Easter meal was delicious and in tradition of our community meals, hit it right out of the park! Now to relax for the week and see what happens next weekend...

Embarrassed....

Sooooo embarrassed. "Someone" put a video from my "fifteen minutes" of fame on Facebook. it's not just my fifteen minutes, but a whole band, still I feel a bit grossed out. lol.  They focused a lot on my ex husband and I, and I was a friggin dork. it's also embarrassing, because I said something dorky about meeting Eminem. Which of course someone had to comment about and instead of spelling his name correctly translated to me wanting to divorce my husband for a
So far the comments aren't so bad, but my biggest fear is this will open up old wounds. Yes there is a story, a long story too drawn out for a blog and would probably suit a tele novela, but we're going to leave it alone. This morning while I was in the shower i realized that in the video, the crew came to my work where my boss spoke to Matt Pinfield about me deserving to be a rock star. I almost screamed. I was in the shower and I turned red! why??? why???? lol. ok it was 12 years ago, but shit. it's friggin embarrassing. Lucky for me though, i have a friend and a boyfriend who are calming me down. I should be proud of it (even though I was super nervous and pitchy). ok let's carry on now. and the band was Headboard by the way. if y'all were interested. And the show was Farmclub.
  • i am buying the Shark Vac and Steam. can't pass it up. On ideeli, no shipping. I've been looking for another super steam mop AND it vacuums, now that's a winner.
  • It's 9:44 am...do you know what you're making for dinner? Cooking is always on my mind. I am hoping I'm not alone. We have a roast and some new rubs to play with, so we're definitely having some beef tonight. Hopefully some  french fries (Gerry and I are cooking together!) and a caesar salad too! Check out Epicurious and see what they think you should have for dinner tonight...it looks nummy!!!

  •  My dog must have issues with me. Maybe Gerry's right. Bella only acts looney with me. Yesterday Gerry and I took her out and he let her go play in the park, if i had hackles they would have been raised-she did great. She also played with another dog. I need his help. Looks like we need to take Bella out together. Not just me. She acts differently with me than she does with him. I guess it all comes down to me.  And now i'm not happy about that. My own tension is causing my dog to have issues. I should just give up. :(

Alright i got nuttin...but i'm leaving that little dot above just in case i come back and need to write more...have a great day avocado heads.

hump day boohoo.

I feel boohooey today. Some days i must allow myself to feel the way i do. Every day isn't a happy one and they're not all sad ones either. Just feeling frustrated in my life i guess. A bit trapped and confined in my own mind. Too structured. too limited.  Yet some days I'm left to wonder what's going to happen and that there's not enough structure and i don't know what will happen tomorrow or the next day. I figure go with it and not try and dwell too much on my emotions, because they pass like a bad cold.
  • I don't normally talk about my friends or even Facebook-not the biggest fan of using facebook as a way to keep in touch-why the hell else do we have phones? but we do get to hear about people hurting themselves and the way they post things. Such as my friend who got in the middle of a dog and cat fight and apparently got bit. He added it was a pitbull. I really couldn't care less what kind of dog it was, who's the idiot who puts his hand in between a dog and a CAT? THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS TO STOP ANIMALS FIGHTING. Bang two pots together, throw water on them, make a lot of noise...etc...startling animals is your best bet. One guy wrote :the dog may have to be put down with behavior like this...Uh no. Dogs are natural hunters. They have a high prey drive. Even my own dog who has lived with THREE cats still lunges at strange cats on the street. When he goes into our neighbors house she greets them with a sniff. Anyway...lesson learned i hope. it has nothing to do with breed, but animal instinct.
  • Gucci bags are on sale on ideeli. Personally i don't have 900 bucks to spend on a Gucci tote, but they're cute and they are on sale, right?
  • my shoulders feel sore. maybe i need another massage....
  • French Connection and beautiful Carlo Viani jewelry (check out ring below 785.00),
  •  For some reason this song just makes me happy today....
  •  My eyes are so dry. i think i'll eat some toast.
  • i forgot what else i was going to write.
  • I want to make Brisket. I've never done it. I wonder if it is essential to use a pressure cooker? AT the moment it's being used as a bucket for a leak in the sun porch. i truly love and appreciate my epicurious emails. Always great ideas and definite food inspiration! check it out. they also have a corned beef recipe.
  • Hey the first day of spring is next week and it's snowing in the Sierra's....
ok i'm outtie freaks and geeks...lots o love.

Capes...who wore it better...

Today's big news....who wore it better? Paris or Katherine? the sherlock holmes cape is making a comeback and apparently this is important news. I think both of them need some spectacles, a magnifying glass and a hound to complete the outfit.  Who friggin cares?
  • I need to go shopping. I am hoping that on black friday i can splurge on me. I've been collecting gifts for people here and there, so i pray i can go coo coo on me. Oh shit, what am I going to get Gerry???? The man who gets everything? fork.
  • Now i'm trippin. what am i going to get him? He did say he may start a list on amazon, which would help a lot. ok...must talk about that later.
  • because i need to share good music..here you go:
  •  I think tonight may be an indian night. Tonight is also super yoga night. So i have to walk my dog, come back defrost the chicken, and do an hour of yoga. phew. I'm tired just thinking about it.
  • So I sorta wrote a song. I have verse one (well i'm mostly comfortable with the first two lines) and i have a very short chorus. Here's what i need: more chords! and structure once i know more chords. I had an awesome friend last night play a bit with me and he was amazing, but we all got stuck on a part. I'm hoping another friend can help us out next week. I'm so lucky to be surrounded by good people who want to help. I have ideas too! Creative ideas to use the talents my friends have! Now if I can get back into that writing headspace where the lyrics will flow. bleh....in due time my friends.
  • The Bears won last night. How do I know? Because I watched the game! Yes people, my friends are helping me like another sport. It's fun hangin with the peeps watching sports and cheering for a team. I am anti Eagles based on one player, but that's just how it's going to be people. I don't forget that shit.
  • Ooh everyone check out shop epicurious they've got all sorts of cooking gadgets. 2 more weeks until turkey day! holy crapola. I'm making the Turkey, stuffing, gravy, chocolate pecan pie, another pie?...and I think that's it. I know i should probably make some healthy vegetables too. lol.
  • Holy poo. So Hautelook has Sue Wong dresses and by golly I love a lot of them. They even have a dress that looks a bit vintage 20's.
so purdy. ok must stop looking at all the pretty dresses. Hautelook also had a pair of awesome boots I wanted only to find out they are out of ALL SIZES! frick.
  • Not to be a downer, but it's important to know what goes on in other states and be thankful that you don't live in them. But if you do, to stand up for the rights of the animals that can't speak up for themselves. Please read KC Dog blog.
  • boots are too expensive and I can't believe i missed  out on the boots on hautelook. Ideeli is also having a sale, but the boots are more expensive...super sad face inserted here.
  • PEOPLE! Great christmas idea! telescopes. Celestron sale on ideeli. NOT BAD FOR THE PRICE! almost tempted to buy one. I Love looking at the stars! hmmm, i'll have to look at these with Gerry.
alright peeps. Have a great day. Remember that christmas shopping early is good for your wallet. :)
