Less than a month until Turkey DAY!

Gobble Gobble people! Gobble Gobble! I love the holidays. It is my most favorite time of the year. I would live in Christmasland if i could. I don't know if there's such a thing, but if there was, I'd be there....well no, i probably wouldn't, because then it wouldn't be as special. So, I think I'm going to move from the whole "ooh look what i found for you" to "look at what would make a good present for me and for all of those other people you know". Well, I guess i could also give you links to cool things for you too.

Giants won last night! It was like watching a movie! The rain is pouring down on Giants stadium. The crowd was on their feet. Everyone was drenched. They WIN! (which i must add here, the Cardinals had no points). I teared up a bit. it was very romantic.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Blondie Bars-Lauren at Lauren's latest is amazing. She posted this recipe yesterday and i had to try it last night! So YUMMY!!!!! Also she looks super adorable so you should visit her page anyway!

By the way, no one pays me or asks me to go to their pages, I just do because I like what i see.

Thanksgiving! Who the heck doesn't like Thanksgiving!!??? whoever doesn't is missing out big time. Are you hosting? Are you in charge of the bird? side dishes? pies? etc....well say thank you to Epicurious because they're amazing and have many videos, tricks, ideas, recipes, etc...so go and check them out. 

Halloween is next week!!! So my "cop" costume (I like to put it in quotes because really it's a bodysuit with a hat and a badge) is missing something and I have come to the conclusion I need hot pink handcuffs. The fluffy ones. I think it will work. I'm not one for carrying a weapon, even if it's a toy. Although a taser doesn't sound like a bad thing........By the way, Gerry hasn't even bought his costume. 

What not to do when your girlfriend is doubling over with menstrual cramps.  I like saving lives. Especially the lives of clueless men. If men are willing to listen, than they deserve to be saved.  You see, sirs, sometimes we women get cramps. Some are controlled by Midol or pamprin and sometimes the evil bitch comes and she tears up the insides of your girlfriend and she looks like she is dying. she feels like it too. Things you should NOT do: #1 ignore her. i think that's the final and only thing on my list of shit you shouldn't do. We're in pain. We need to be cared for. Trust me when i say that getting up and walking around is not going to help. We need you to care for us. Do not imitate my boyfriend. He was on the computer for like an hour of my moaning and groaning before I think I got a little too loud that he was like "God are you ok?" This is when i think battery is ok...I should have hit him with a baseball bat, but since i couldn't move i was like "NO, get me some vicodin now." oh #2 would be don't ask stupid questions.

Pawsitive Dog Stories

Really this link is about the dogs that survived Michael Vick's fighting ring. This blog is about the dogs that were saved and how they're doing now. It's strange to me how some people can give up on animals so easily and dismiss them entirely. But those same people expect us to not do that to humans?  Everyone should sign up to this blog because it's amazing. This story is amazing, maybe not amazing in the sense that this dog rescued someone, but that this dog has overcome fear and been able to trust a human and has learned amazing things and has proven SOCIETY WRONG. oh yankees and stuff i don't like..

I don't know what to say, Yankees...I came home at about 8 and you hadn't scored yet. I'd like to think that the home run was for me. So thank you. I'm not sure you'll win tonight, but it's ok if you don't. You'll be back next year. I know you will. And if you do win tonight, then yahoo; I'll be watching. Please remember I am a lifer; I'll always be passionate about you guys.

I still have 3 more lbs to go, but I can't shake it. I'm eating enough and exercising the same. I know i should increase my exercise, but the sun is setting earlier and baseball season is coming to an end. This time of year it's really hard for people to stay at their present weight. Soon we'll be celebrating Thanksgiving, eating tons of leftover turkey, then there's Christmas and New years and throughout that whole time we're all baking and having cozy get togethers...etc...i think you get my point. So what do we do? We don't over eat. if you can't finish what's on your plate, bring it home and eat it another day. Turkey leftovers? make a soup. Freeze as much as you can. If you have a walking regimen after work, keep it. On those rainy or snowy days, do what you can indoors. I know it's hard and expect to gain a couple of pounds, but remember you don't have to. Counting calories works. Myfitnesspal will be my best friend this holiday season. oh yeah, and i need a new scale since mine is off. 

Doggy training. So I'm not sure if i talked to you guys about this a while ago. I have to find a way to get Bella's attention when we're walking by a dog. She gets so zoned in on another dog that I don't know what to do. Well, the trainer had proposed a pinch collar and that's just not going to happen (last resort and only for training purposes). So we got the thing she kinda hates; the clicker. cross your paws that this works. :)

pawsitive dog story of the day!

Ok this story made me tear up (so many do) this dog alerts his parents that his baby sister stopped breathing. He saved a life. I feel bad for him in the pictures, you can tell he's a little scared of all the people around him taking pictures. it's ok pup, you're a good boy. Thank you dogster for existing!

Food, Subscription boxes and handmade cards.

The above makes me sound like i'm about to get all creative on your asses, but i'm not. I don't do arts and crafts real well so please don't expect it. I will share with you the yummy recipes i've tried, the subscription boxes that have failed (in my eyes) and my sad attempt at making Gerry a belated birthday card (yes i know i suck).

ok so food. Everyone here (i'm looking around at my imaginary crowd) knows i love FOOOOOD! Well, I've been in the mood to try recipes from cookbooks, pinterest, bonappetit, ziplist etc...normally I just come up with things in my head and voila master chef Jacky makes an excellent meal! The good part about following a recipe is that you learn methods you didn't know before. Last night we had Maple Glazed Pork Chops. Pretty damn good. Gerry loved them. This recipe was easy, i didn't even have to get anything from the store.

Birchbox...sigh...I cancelled my subscription today. When i first received it, i was like, "Uhm, these are just samples, I can go to the Macy's make up counters and ask for samples for free." The box I got, which i'm sort of confused about, it was called goop. cute name, but where the hell is my October birchbox that costs 28 bucks? In this little box i get more SAMPLES and a friggin soy candle. Yes thank you for the luna bar, but i'm not a fan of those. I think another box is coming, but i still don't think 28 bucks is worth it. I cancelled for next month. I'm just not impressed.

the yankees play tonight in Detroit. I'm missing my game and I'm unhappy about that. Next week is the world series, and i may have to miss my class....i guess it all depends on who's playing too.  Come on Yanks, I hope you play better tonight. Wish i could miss tonight's class, but we're learning about spinal unloading which i really want to be there for. OOPS, i need to do my homework.

Gerry's birthday card was more like one of those 1st grader book reports, but with pictures of silly dogs. I am sure that one day we will look back at it and be thankful that I noted what we did on his 36th birthday, whilst wishing him a happy birthday (trust me the sentence makes sense, sorta). I cut and paste (on the computer) on to word and wrote stuff. OOOH i'm clever. I felt so bad for not having a card, i had to make it memorable so it was like 4 pages long; that's because the pictures were very big. Tada...bow.

Oh  yankees, what's going on????? Couple things are, pardon my expression, FUCKED:

• Derek Jeter fractured his ankle.
• Apparently the umpires are idiots, because on two separate occasions they made TWO HUGE mistakes which hurt the Yankees. Just makes me sad. 

Giants, good game!!! Watching the Giants play was refreshing. They're not my number 1 team, but i can watch the game and see both teams and give them the credit they deserve. I do have to say, that there is far too much booing at Giants games.

I need to get serious for a moment. Last night i joined a page on facebook in memory of a girl, Amanda Todd, who took her life after cyber bullying. The story is more intense than saying it was just because of cyber bullying; there's a lot more to her suicide than that. I was reading the comments and most were heartfelt, while others were cold, ignorant and idiotic.  I understand that some of the teens who pushed her to "drink more bleach" or to find other means to end her life, think that somehow she deserved to die. No one deserves to die. And parents, this is where you are responsible. What you teach your kids is so very important. They echo you when you say that person was a coward. Some of the comments I read just sounded so "stuck up". Life is so good for some, while others with mental illness,even when life appears to be ok on the outside,  on the inside it's a raw, bloody mess. Before you write something that may sound mean and rude, realize that it's inappropriate and move on to something else. Your words do not belong on the page. My heart goes out to this  young woman. I understand how "alone" she felt. I have been there, the only difference is I survived. To read more about Amanda Todd, read the examiner's article here. Frolicking Furry friday.

Hola My Amigos,

How art thou today? I'm a bit bummed out after the Yankee loss last night, but I must carry the hope for tonight's game. Come on Yankees!!! Last night i had to take a muscle relaxer, because the game was intense. 13 innings of praying, hoping, talking to the TV, making everyone (Gerry and Bella) wear Yankee something for good juju, etc. I was wearing the jersey and I tried to convince Gerr that he should hold the purse, but he didn't like the idea so i had it hanging off the TV (flat screen). I donned Bella in my Yankee tshirt and let Gerry wear my visor.  We did everything we could. Oh well, tonight is another game and i will hold the torch of hope.

Anytime you plan a getaway, whether it's camping or a quick getaway to the coast, you need to well...PLAN. This camping trip was decided on this week. But nothing was really planned or is ready for that matter. The boat has speakers on the tower, but they're not hooked up. No one has picked up the wood yet. Some food has been purchased, but i'm afraid it's not enough. I'm praying it gets warmer and it looks like it will...so we'll see. Oh and we better get the game on the radio, or i will flip out.

Well I gave Gerry two of his presents. He wanted a dutch oven for camping. I guess he says the one i got is the wrong one. Too bad hon, i'm not returning it-it's beautiful-cast iron and i bet it will work just fine. I told him if he wants a wetsuit i'll get him one. Trying to buy a present for him is pretty difficult unless you know EXACTLY what he wants. I should just get him gift cards.

Really in the mood for breakfast all of a sudden. I could use an eggs benedict right about now.

American Apparel is a bit lame.  What is up with their sizes?  Medium is 4-6? on what planet? Sorry but that doesn't fly with me. I think it's time for this company to get it right. And guess what this isn't sexy:

This story is more like a testimonial of how sometimes you go into a shelter looking for a specific dog and you leave with a Pitty. I love how they are surprised by how loyal and loving and willing to be trained the dogs are. I like reading the comments below the story, because it's a fairly common tale. The pitty can win over anybody. :)

It finally rained.

Not sure how many other people rely on Accuweather, but for the last week it's been showing scattered showers.  For the past few days the sun has been out and when i get off work I am greeted by a nice breeze. No rain. No clouds. Yesterday was one of those days. I took Bella out for a walk and left my sweater at home. At about 9ish i hear a howling wind-or so I thought-I go outside and it's raining. What? I check accuweather and it says clear skies. ???????????????(so many question marks) I am thinking the turd balls who came up with this app have no idea how to predict any kind of weather. hmmph. Today it's very gray, at the least this app has it right. Cloudy. uh huh...

I ran out of half and half. That means I  have to go get some....is it just me, but going to the store for a bottle of half and half makes you drag your feet? sigh...i need some coffee too.

Yankees WOOT WOOT!!!! Did you watch last nights game???? AMAZING! and i have to give MAJOR props to mr Raul Ibanez!

Pawsitive Dog Stories!

This is a great story and it comes with a video. A dog was trapped in a burning house and passed out from smoke inhalation. The owner wasn't in the house so as you probably guessed, the neighbors must have called 911. It took an HOUR and the paramedics saved this pups life. They have special oxygen masks for dogs and cats. That's just amazing and makes me feel better that in some counties and states they see my pets as family members and are willing to do anything to save them.

Phew I am wiped out...

oh golly. My body is so tired. The garage sale was a success but my body feels like it needs to hibernate for a day or two. Not to mention the sunny day we had that burned my skin, I feel like a potato chip. i could easily stare at the wall for an hour. It's Columbus Day and several people are out today, while I'm stuck in here and i'm kicking myself for not requesting it off. It's alright....I'll be fine.

yeehaw, tonight is The Voice and we're getting to the battle round segment. I guess the coaches have the right to steal the contestants and add them to their team, not sure how it's going to work, but i can't wait to watch!

The Yankees won their first game against the Orioles last night.  Can we say I am so stoked??? I bought the app atBat 12 and i can WATCH AND LISTEN to the game. I was woohooing all over the house. I was pretty shocked that there wasn't much data used up after the game. I thought for sure i was going to get screwed, but I didn't care. I can't watch the game here, because they don't show it. I heard the Giants lost to the Reds....boo.

Holy Crap. Gerr's birthday is next weekend and I have to figure something out ASAP! The man is turning 36. So far i have a couple of gifts coming, but nothing special. The guy has not said a word about what he wants. hmmph. He has mentioned a tablet, but HELLO, there are like 20 different tablets out there. I did send him this living social deal like a month ago and he brought it up while he was talking to a friend of ours, i was like "Hon, that deal's gone you know...if you wanted it, you shoulda told me when it was still valid." sigh....hmmm...maybe we can go to the pumpkin patch or something? A dinner on Saturday night? but where....i'm panicking. can you tell? He isn't making this easy either. He has no ideas and the poor guy doesn't think that his birthday is something special...which it totally is. Have i mentioned my brain is fried....

So Bella got to see her first Dog Trainer. I'm not going to mention his name yet, because i have a couple of strikes against him. First i'm going to tell you all the positives. He claimed his space, which was nice. Bella tried to jump, he knocked her down. lol. He let her give him kisses, he was ok with that. We went over our whole history and my apprehension with her and other dogs. He had a dog in his car and we ventured out to see how Bella does with a dog in a car situation. She didn't do well. He asked about a pinch collar, I said NO. I have like ten reasons why i don't like pinch collars and inflicting pain on my dog is one of the things I won't do. I want my dog to trust me not fear me.  Anyway, he was like "Well, it would solve this problem in like 20 seconds." That's great but will she actually LEARN something, or will she just FEAR being pulled.  That was strike one. Second strike was he mentioned that pits were different than other dogs, they'll just go off. Made me a little nervous when he said that. BUT he had  just left a house where a pit he was training went for his face and luckily the dog was muzzled. So ok that last strike may have been from that situation. I don't know. I had to make him think of other ways we were going to have to try. He came up with a squirt bottle or a squeaky toy to redirect her attention from a dog in the car to me. The goal is that in 5 weeks, Bella needs to be calm when we see a dog sitting in a car.  I hope that I can do this.

 Remember Brain fried? which also meant i dressed like crap today and forgot to wear a ring. super sad face here. But I did do my nails last night. This is Julep's Rose. the last color only lasted about 4-5 days, the tips lost the color and cracked easily. I do a lot of typing, so we'll see how long this lasts. 

Pawsitive Dog Stories

We've heard all the horrid stories of pitbulls being shot by police officers (some FOR NO FRIGGIN REASON), but what about the officers that are kind and do the right thing? We hardly hear about those. This is a great story from the Washington Examiner. A story about a dog searching for help AND jumping into a police car to cover the officer with kisses. I think we all would be a bit freaked out if ANY type of dog jumped into our vehicle. Star is up for adoption.

I don't even know where to start today. New York trip is next month. I'm feeling mommy guilt with Bella, but I know she's going to be just fine because we're lucky to have people who love her around us.  I'm super excited to see my mom and grandma.I'm also excited about spring in NY. I've already mentioned needing sandals and the such, but i have so many pretty springtime dresses I just can't wait to wear them all!!! Not at the same time. We already have a game plan and I'm just so happy. Probably the only thing that can get me out of my funk right now. I am feeling so tired of this place. And when i say this place, i mean home, work, day to day routines...I need a break. A real break. A break that involves looking at sights, breathing the air, and soaking in the environment around me. I yearn to do that here, but there's really no one to do that with. Gotta find my explorer friends, who want to go out and about and see beautiful things and really take advantage of San Francisco.

It would be nice to get a giant check....I probably won't win, but hey have your fingers crossed for me.

Yes it is...and aren't we grateful? For me it will be a busy work day, a physical therapy appointment and then off home to care for my limpy Bella and hang out by my lonesome. Gerr's off doing some work and I couldn't go-above reasons are pretty valid. At first it was just a work thing and now it's turning into a fun event and I can't be a part of it, which honestly it's fine; someone has to watch over our limpy doggy. I am bummed out because i'd like to go do some things that we had planned, but I figure I wouldn't be given this opportunity of alone time if i didn't really need it. Note to self, I will not be reading any Edgar Allen Poe by myself.

• oh Bay Area CBS news and local media news groups such as the Marin IJ. A cop gets bitten by a dog and they say "Pitbull shot by Marin Officers...." The dog looks like this

THAT IS NOT A PITBULL. A mix sure...very very weak mix. And I seriously doubt it has a large amount of DNA to prove it. So sick of these misrepresentations. And reporters and media who have to use the word Pit Bull to sell newspapers and create drama. If i win the lottery I would get as far away from these sexist, bigots, racist, prejudiced people. Bleh. I spit on you media. For once do your job.They couldn't have said mixed breed dog attacks cop who wound up getting MINOR wounds, so not really an attack, but suffice it to say she SHOT at it. No wonder they need new police persons in the area. Sort of reminds me of this whole Stand your ground thing...except ofcourse we're dealing with a dog here. Sorry, but prejudice is prejudice.

yup. strange special day. I'm going to take full advantage of making wishes today. lol. and not for stupid stuff. no more wishing for things i can buy myself, but stuff that matter...so watch out world. wish i could get engaged on a day like today. I know for some people numbers don't matter, but wow i think it's awesome. hahaha, in perfect boyfriend fashion i was saying how a perfectly timed engagement would be awesome and he responds with HUH? He's just so normally male.

• OK men,  my new side hobby is to help you become better at romance. • A reminder to anyone who does find or save a pit, before you call your local shelter to have the dog picked up ask them about their dog policies, their euthanizing policies and tolerance to the breed. If they are a no kill then you're in good hands, if they ARE a kill shelter-look for a rescue or some other place that can take the animal. Do NOT give dogs to kill shelters. 
• sorry about the large font above, but i need to make a point. We found a wandering pitty, still a pup. First thing I did was call a rescue and see if someone would pick up, then i called the local humane society. They said they would not kill him, but first hold for 5 days, then see what his temperment was and behavior etc...then they'd adopt him out. IF anything I was to pick him up if there was even the possibility of being euthanized. I loved that option. No matter what "whiskey" would either go home, be adopted or I'd have him and take him to my favorite local rescue. 
• Tonight we get to use a livingsocial deal for Zingari's! i cannot wait. It's also a jazz club. Music and dinner. SWANKY! I'm excited. 
• I missed my 11:11:11 wish! oh well my wish for the day is........i did it. :)

Yup, the yanks lost last night. I won't point any fingers...ahem Sabbathia...i didn't say a word. If he didn't pitch that one game, Detroit would not have won...guarantee it...but...ahem it's no one's fault. Well we Yankee fans have to wait for next year.....

• i was out yesterday due to feeling like shit. I have a headache, but it's not as bad as yesterdays waves of caca. So I think i'm a bit better. must drink a lot of water. I brought soup, but came to find out that my work is buying us lunch! So i ordered the nachos. lol. 
• Since it's friday and I dont' feel like total death, I am taking my poor dog to play and play and play. yes that means throwing the ball until she doesn't want it any longer. I guess I should be thankful that I won't be watching these playoff games.
• Now will i be watching the World Series? Probably. we'll see who makes it there......
• I'm one of those people who lacks patience. I love trying ideas i find from pinterest, but i finally found one that took too long to give me any results and now i never want to do it again..lol..check out dos family lace lamp.. I guess i read it somewhere else, to use water down glue and just douse the lace...well i had lace...i think i'll try to use mod podge and no water later on today, i may have a tiny bit of lace left. they're kinda cool...

• My photo project looks soooo coooool. I can't wait to show you guys...but i have like 22 more days...soooo you'll just have to wait.

• need i say more. 10-1 Yankees are taking game 5 home at 5pm Pacific time. Must get off early. 
• I'm home at the moment hanging out with my maytag repairman. I do have to go back to work and it doesn't seem like one of the two burners has yet to be fixed.....maybe we can get a pretty new stove....sigh...
• I feel artistically deprived. I haven't been able to do anything with my coffee table this week. We knew the rain would come, but i want to do other things to keep my creativity flowing. Seriously pinterest helps with that. I did my nails last night black and pink. here's a crappy phone picture...First you do layer one of any color, wait until it dries and then apply cut tape-Gerry made the wavy design with blue movers tape, because cutting regular scotch tape is a bitch. apply to nail paint half of nail with other color, wait a little while and slowly take off.apply clear coat. fun times. 
• Tonight for dinner i'm making salmon for the boys and ofcourse another pinterest idea for us girls....My friend Danette actually gave me the recipe on the site and i can't wait to try it out. First i'm going to make a roasted smashed potato then i'm going to make the salmon and the chicken the same way using this recipe for parmesan crusted chicken i probably won't put parmesan on the salmon, but the mayo for sure. 
• I'm taking Bella out on a walk today. Rain or Shine!! she needs to be freeeeee and run about. 4 days of no exercise makes Bella a meanie to the other animals. Not really a meanie, but she gets annoyed easier. For example, Fievel-13 year old gray male cat-sits by the door, Bella places her bone in front of Fievel, walks away but comes back and starts barking at Fievel to please move because she wants her BOOOOONNNNE. it's more of a whiny bark. 
• Sunday is organize the back room day. i have no idea how...but it will be done. I"m thinking we also need to treat ourselves to some yummy lunch...
• hmm. at the moment I feel trapped by the appliance repairman...He keeps calling me. He should be calling my landlord.

GRRRRRR. Maybe not a growl but a big fat GRRRR. Do not get me started with last nights game and a pitcher that I find to be terrible during the playoffs. Since i can't watch the yankees play during the normal season, i can only tell you that Sabathia sucks during the playoffs. Joe Girardi should have pulled him off after his 3rd walk. sigh...sorry baseball talk can be boring, but i'm just pissed. Tonight is their last chance to tie it up and bring it home on Thursday.

• Let's continue with sports, so the "Are you ready for some football?" song is to be retired, because of something Hank Williams Jr said. I heard what he said was pretty shocked to hear him compare our president to Hitler-very extreme and idiotic comparison.....as for the song, I didn't mind it. I don't believe Hank is the brightest bulb on a christmas tree, but oh well i guess you pay for being ignorant...right? May I ask why they were talking to him about his the run for the white house? Who cares what he thinks to begin with?

•  I want to go to Disneyland for Christmas. I can't figure out what's the cheaper route. Driving our car? Getting a motel? taking Bella with us? Who would she stay with? Who do I trust with our dog????? BLARGH. I want her to come. She's always so much fun. Will Em and Mem come with us? I keep saying I need to plan this soon-the year is pretty much almost over.I know it's sad to say, but when I look at the calendar i only have 15 days worth of options. that's not much. I don't think Gerry quite understands. We still need passports too. I guess i gotta push the passport pics this weekend.

Hello and Happy Monday...

I don't know, but I think there was a weekend in there somewhere. Well rested? not too much? I did feel like i did stuff. let's get on with the bullet points to explain stuff because they're pretty.

• Wedding, was nice. Mass part too long. Personal choice-I couldn't do it. Nothing personal against my catholic friends, but that was really long. I like the "we are gathered here today...." part, it's nice and to the point.It was cool that Gerry agreed with me. lol. Not that we're engaged or anything, but it's comforting to know we're on the same page when it comes to our imaginary wedding. He likes my dress choice, which I stumbled on thanks to Pinterest. He told me to find out how much it is, but I can't even find out who makes it. It's probably like 30k, but I love it. 

i would not be a new bride and usually I'd say F*U tradition, but wow, this dress is gorgeous. If anyone knows who makes it please comment, i just need to get my head out of the clouds and face reality, because this dress has to be expensive or couture. We're funny, we know where we want to get married, what time of day...yet I don't have the rock on my finger....shrug. The wedding confirmed in me something I convinced myself i didn't want. I want to get married.

• Enough of that crap...So we saw the Yankees won on Saturday, but BOOO they lost yesterday. Today is another day. Watching it with my friends...I will have to run up the hill with Bella and come speedily back down so i can atleast feel like I got some exercise-I DIDN'T EXERCISE AT ALL THIS WEEKEND.
• Hi my dress didn't fit me. friggin cigarette shittin poopoooo...ugh...ok, i won't let it get to me...I will wear the dress for New Years Eve. So we better be doing something this year or I'm going to be pissed. 
• oh I need a medal...oh god do i...maybe not the greatest medal, because I wasn't that great. I did NOT smoke a whole cigarette though and I did not buy a pack. so I still deserve a medal. NO i still don't want to smoke...

• I will take the knitting champion medal for my three weeks.
• how exciting nothing that i want to buy on any site....
• Yesterday we went to the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival. Good music! Lot's of people and reminded me how much fun a good festival is. I wanted to try all the yummy food though..Looked like great vendors. I was pretty impressed. Can't wait for next year. 
• Using the crockpot today. Salsa Verde Pork. One big pork shoulder, one jar of salsa verde over pork. voila. :)
• mmm...I have a feeling my boyfriend is going to by me a horse one day..why do i say that? because he's a smart guy.

Ok, so I'm crazy about the Yankees. I'm in love with my NY team. Yesterday's game got called because of rain, so game 1 has been continued today. ( i already went to the lovely wedding and it was very nice.) So far this game is crazy. I'm by myself at home and any passerby would think i was probably watching a giants game or something. I'm loud and obnoxious and I don't give a shit. i'm eating my chips with my melted velveeta and salsa dip. I'm drinking water out of my yankee mug and I feel like a sports fan.  This game is insane. so far both pitchers are brutal, the umpire got hit in the face with a ball, boohoo the tigers almost got a run but got an out at home plate. Ack...watching sports boils my blood. it's fun.

• This week I made some sinful brownies. I will share a picture with you now.

yes. these were delicious. and you should be drooling right now. If you're diabetic, do not eat these. You know how the day after sometimes the brownies just aren't as fresh? Nothing is like a fresh brownie out of the oven...ok ok..you get the point. Well to make a different treat the next day take some vanilla icecream-i still have some homemade ice cream, add about 3/4 of  a brownie, pour some milk and press blend. mmmm brownie milkshake. Gerry drank most of it. I think he liked it.

• As usual the game is giving me a heart attack. lol. I do have to tell you that the TBS programming is making many mistakes, it actually switched to the Tampa Bay/Rangers game...lol..wtf? ok...what else can i share with you...
• Ever make that cheesey dip i mentioned above and felt guilty about throwing it away-especially if really it's just you eating it or maybe you and your partner. Well save it for breakfast the next day! Make some scrambled eggs and add the cheese to it. Trust me yummy yummy eggs. Now I would never say do this with party dip-that would be gross. 
• you know you want to see the cutest dog ever! it's bella...she wants to say Hi!

She's had a rough day. Spent most of the day at home, she's with her daddy right now playing at the beach. 

Well I hope you're all having a great weekend. I need to go get coocoo because we just got 2 more runs...hello 4-1!!!!!  hello bottom of the 6th and we're rockin it....HOLY SHIT! grand slam....a homer and two runners on bases...incredible inning...

I need more skirts of longer length. not too long, because i like this look. I can feel punky, yet trendy at the same time. too bad my cute knee highs don't expose themselves fully. 

• ok enough about fashion...making me sad. I just paid a lot of bills and don't have much to shop with, plus I think i just need to not shop for about a year. probably would be the best decision i'd make in a lifetime...
• I am sanding this weekend....I hope. Gerry still hasn't taught me how. Sure i can grab what looks like a sander and go crazy, but i want to do it right. I could also check this video out....

Gray Mornings give way to Sunny days.

So far these last couple of days the mornings have been gray and foggy. A reminder that Fall and Winter are not too far ahead. Each day I look out the window I long to wear long sleeves and comfy sweaters. In the Bay Area you can't fall into that trap or else by noon you'll be dripping with sweat. Still, I like that Fall is approaching, it may not be like New England with the leaves changing from green to bright orange red to dead brown, but it works here.

• Eat this, Not that has once again caught my eye this morning. Weight loss recipes and they ALL look fattening. I admit it, I've gained about 2lbs. I need to start walking again, but why not try some weight loss recipes. Check out 15 best recipes for Weight Loss. We have to eat chicken tonight, so maybe i'll try their Chicken parm recipe! My tummy is officially growling....

•  I never did tell you what I wound up making this weekend with my brand new Cuisinart Food Processor. Well I made Tomato Sauce! I bought about 5 lbs of tomatoes, threw em in the food processor, 2 onions, 5 garlic cloves and then poured it into a crockpot, added 2 cans of tomato paste, basil, salt, pepper and italian seasonings. Pretty much tasted throughout the day. The sauce pretty much cooked on low for about 7 hours. It was delicious. I have two in the freezer, one may have to come out tonight for that chicken parm dish....mmmmm
• OOOOH...oh my what to do???? Chicken Parm or Chicken Pot Pie???? Yes peeps, i do have pie crust at home. I have to make this. Gerry loves Pot Pie. • I realized i haven't taken a picture of my beautiful couch. I must get on that, because seriously i can live on that couch. If I close my eyes, I can see it and i want to lay down on it.

Apparently Mickey Avalon has joined the Subnoize record company....i really don't know what to think here. I've seen the guy live and really wasn't impressed, although all of his material was pure satire in my eyes. For all of you who maybe haven't heard of Mickey Avalon, i will bless your ears with his music...

•  I was just handed a bag of pears. I need to make a pear pie! Usually i follow the same recipe as an apple pie, but these pears are close to ripeness that i may just use a simple recipe kinda like this one

• I have about 6 thousand songs on my ipod and I can't find anything to listen to. Sounds sorta familiar...I have tons of shoes and clothing and yet sometimes I have nothing to wear.  But today I'm in my bohemian stylee-hair in my face type of mood and yet I can't find anything besides Black eyed peas that's keeping me energized. pfft. oh well it will come to me...it always does...
• We had phase 2 of our yard sale and SOLD the bulk of the furniture! so stoked. We helped fill someone's empty apartment and we had an unused crib that a newly pregnant couple bought, a dresser that I was dreading would occupy our tiny courtyard for another week or two but was bought in the final hour. It was a yay day!
• check out the bounce house! some cute cute pics on there!
• Yankees are going home and will play the A's later this week....beat em again babies!
• oh yes and don't even think I forgot all about the 3000 hit!

•  So....Hautelook made a boooboooooo. I got the wrong item. I was sorta pissed. I called them and they said they didn't have anymore of the product that I actually wanted: That made me more pissed. Then they wanted me to return the item with a ups label and everything...flames developed at this point because I had no idea where the damn local UPS was. ok then i find the UPS place and it's only a little box drop off thingamajig...flames get bigger....then i realize the box isn't taped, so i have to go home tape it up and go back-i'm a little ok at this point because my doggy co pilot is happy....I get to the drop off box and the friggin box which IS NOT that big won't effing fit. i left it in there. fuck em. at this point there's like an explosion and stuff. I get back in the car and drive and see that bella is super duper happy about being out of the house. so i guess it was all worth it. OH I did not get any type of credit for their mistake or anything, just my money back. I do have to say with Ideeli when they run out of a product they do give you a credit and your money back. Hautelook may be faster on delivery, but ideeli has better service. 
• Why? Rebecca Black is back? ugh. pukola. ofcourse i made it worse since i put it on here...but just I don't get it???? whatever happened to talented musicians????
• I love smoothies. I officially am trying to stay away from Frosty's. I only had two this weekend, I swear! I am a simple smoothie person. Give me some strawberries, a banana, strawberry yogurt and a little ice. that's it. no juice, nothing extra. oh wait, i need a blender. 
• My title for today's post goes out to one of my kitties-Keys. she's about 12-13 years old and I have to take her to the vet. She's lost lots of weight and she doesn't look too good. Seems like when it rains it drenches and soaks me to the bone.

Positive things for today.

Just a short list of things I am looking forward to for today or that have made me happy thus far.

• Memphis took Bella for a walk this morning. He's my good friend. We're trying to help my pup out after pretty much being home for the last couple of months due to two surgeries (tail amputation and TPLO surgery). 
• I get to take Bella out for a short walk after work. I need to work on my calm, assertive energy. Thanks Caesar Milan. 
• Today's Allstar game which I will be watching AND supporting Derek Jeter! I have my new jersey and it's ready to be worn!
• French Onion soup! I am making a meal for my friends! So accompanying it will be a chicken/bacon caesar salad and garlic bread. 
• I am thankful for waking up to Gerrs face every morning. I'm thankful that Bella sneaks onto my side of the bed every morning.  Misfit was actually with the gang and sitting on the bed as well. Keys was on Gerry's side. Who knows where Fievel was. 
• thankful my mother joined my blog. :)
• Bella is getting her stitches out today
• Thankful to the makers of Midol.
