The media is a joke.

A big fat joke. And so many people believe everything they read. The media and the news you watch at night steer you into a direction that at some point you forget you ever had free will to begin with. Only once and a while do you hear BOTH sides of an issue. What I am most tired of is the media and journalists jumping on the anti pit bull bandwagon, and you know what??? I've seen this before. I'm not stupid. You can fool anyone else, but you can't fool me. Why? Because my life doesn't revolve around you. I listen to reports on the news and some are so biased! it doesn't even have to do with an animal, but you can hear it in their voices-secretly whispering at you underneath their charismatic words-"let me sway you to the dark side where your opinion will soon be banished"...Ok...I may be overdramatic right now, but I can't believe that people let this shit happen....No one questions anything...actually half the country, as we saw in the election, disregarded anything Mitt Romney said about their own class and just nodded their heads and voted for him...Makes me sick to my stomach. Wake up people. Question what you read, what you hear etc...Don't be blind. And for God's sake speak up. I have maybe 90 or so friends on FB and only a couple really speak up for something. The rest have no substance. Maybe it's just FB....i don't know...but it bugs me. I don't care for politics, but i do care for people who have a passion in their lives....

November already....

This year is going by too fast...I can't take it anymore...it's getting too close to the end of the year. Stop it and slow down a bit...except for work; that can go fast.

I hope you all had a happy halloween! We had a great time at Asia SF and we looked great! Here's a pic of me in my costume.

Here's Gerry:

I would put up pics of the girls, but I never know how people feel about having their pictures on my page...soo...let me tell you, they looked awesome! :)

I showed people from work the picture above of my costume and they didn't believe it was me...hahahaha. I guess i dress like crap at work...or not slutty.

I am fighting a cold or something. I took my temperature yesterday at lunch and it was 95.7. Pretty damn low. I emailed my doc and she said i'm probably fighting something off. I shouldn't be at work...but hey tell the piles of paper in front of me to magically input themselves into my system. So if you ever find yourself with a low temperature, beware of all the stuff you read, sometimes you're just fighting an infection or a cold....My temp this morning was closer to 97.5 which is my normal. if i have a 98 something, i usually am too warm or getting sick.

Cool sites and shites

and the GIANTS win the world series!!??

Yes, they swept the Tigers. Sorry Tigers, but you weren't hitting until last night. There were so many times in last nights game when i held my breath. I was finally watching baseball! Don't get me wrong, sometimes a sweep is good, but sometimes it's not fun to watch. I think it was game two, I was sitting on my couch and completely bored. I am not sure what happened with the Tigers, but it was frustrating to watch. Neither team got hits, it was a pitching game. Last night, well that was proof that the Giants played well. Both teams hit, both teams tried their hardest and one won.  Congrats Giants! I am very proud to live in the Bay Area. And for those of you who don't know the Yankees will be hosting the Giants at the new Yankee stadium for interleague play on September 20-22 at Yankee Stadium.

Also for those people who are online completely rude when talking about baseball teams, whether it's the Yankees, the Cardinals, the Giants, the A's, the Tigers etc...These teams work very hard and some of you run your mouths more than you exercise. Teach your kids to be a good person by not saying stupid crap. Watch what you say.

I am buying this book. I can't wait to get it. I also ordered Ken Foster's other book "The dogs who found me; what I have learned from pets who were left behind."
I'll be thinking of my family today during Frankenstorm/Hurricane Sandy. I feel confident that most of them will be ok. But thinking of you! Also remember to donate to American Humane Association. Their Giant truck will be roaming around the east coast to help animals and people in need.

I'm not jealous of east coast storms, but I am jealous of their weather. Is it just me or am I the only Californian annoyed with the sun and warmth??? Can we get some rain please???

So this is proof that humans can be idiots. Sorry babe, i love you and all but leaving the garage door open leaving access to the street was your fault. Yup he did that. Bella saw another dog I heard her bark, I ran outside and there she went. I found her barking at some lady with a little dog. i grabbed her brought her in and yelled at Gerry to apologize to the lady. I was so shaken i had to see what happened. They were both fine. The lady said it looked like Bella wanted to play. Her mouth was closed and she wanted to smell the puppy. I gave the lady a hug. Because that could have been awful. All the coulda's and what ifs are what's making me super angry at Gerr. But the reality is that she didn't cross the street, she approached a really nice lady with a very sweet puppy (yes it was a puppy), Bella was more excited than fearful. She's only done this ONE time before and she was a puppy and guess what ONCE AGAIN it was Gerrs fault. I don't blame my dog one bit. I blame us.

Met Some cute kittens yesterday! I had to hold myself back when i met a very adorable female kitten that surely should have gone home with me but didn't....Also met some cute puppies. I NEED A HOUSE!

Pumpkin Cream Cheese muffins! Finally! I made them. I used this recipe from Lick the bowl good and a Well Seasoned life. (i love my tablet! makes it so easy to cook and read recipes!). Pretty pic for you!

Tonights dinner? Chicken Pesto!!! yummy.

I have returned....

For a couple of days I couldn't think of anything to write. I attempted to write on Tuesday, but i sounded like i was babbling about nothing (which is what i normally do), so i decided fuck it and deleted the entire thing. Lots of things i want to share with you today. So let's get on with it...

  • I feel like i've been to too many funerals in the last 3 years. Everyone needs to stop dying. I am not a fan of losing people i care about. I went to one yesterday for my boss/owner of the company I work for. The church was packed, it's not even that packed for midnight mass (as a catholic i go once a year to Midnight mass on Christmas).  The service was followed by some touching speeches and then a lunch which everyone was invited to. The whole thing was beautiful, but seriously everyone stop dying because i don't want to go to anymore. :(
  • FYI Google Play is celebrating 25 billion apps and for the next 5 days you can get games and apps for 25 cents! awesomeness.
  • I had THE scariest experience yesterday, but i can't share it with all of you, because I haven't told my mom. I guess i'll have to tell her this weekend, because I need to write about it.
  • I want to share with you some of the websites that I like to check out. Some you may have heard about, maybe some you haven't. Check them out though:
trulia.com-I'm on the look out for homes in my area and this site gives you the history of the houses for sale and the estimated property taxes. You can even check out celebrity homes for sale!
joyus.com-this site is a bit different when it comes to shopping. Each item has a video, kinda like it's own mini commercial, so you get to see how the item works or show you how to use it. It's pretty nifty. Seems like the items are full price though, still it shows you cool foods, kitchen gadgets, containers, clothing, jewelry etc...Purdy kewl.
purewow.com-it's a stylish daily email that will share a style, a cuisine, a gadget and then tell you a couple of places where you can find it. And you can get discounts from retailers just by being a purewow member which is of course free!
All of these are free, by the way
Plukka-well this dandy, expensive site is for people like me who just love jewelry. The prices are marked down but for me, personally, still a bit expensive. I will keep looking and checking it out, you know....
Modewalk.ok the only problem with this website is that you have to sign in to see it...I know poo right??? but you can connect with facebook and poof there you see it. it's a free site as are all of these. Ok so not all of us can afford a skirt for like 5k and not everyone wears exactly what's on the runway, BUT we can check out the styles that are hitting the streets and incorporate them into our daily lives by buying similar items that we can afford. That's why i like this site. I have found items i would love (if i was a bijjilionaire) and actually found similar items on ideeli or hautelook for like a tenth of the price. So check this site out if you want, but I'm tellin ya, most of us normy's will not be able to afford buying stuff off this site.
Opensky.com-is kinda like joyous and purewow but items are one sale. Items tend to lean on the expensive side BUT some seem worth it. This site isn't as expensive as, let's say Modewalk. Check it out.
epicurious.com-mmmm daily emails of fantastic recipes and ideas. this one is a must.
joss and main-Welcome to your ideeli/hautelook site exclusively for home furniture, garden essentials and kitchen stuffs. :)

Shop online at Forever21 and get fifty percent off this weekend

I'll continue with more cool things you may want in your inbox next week!

ok POSITIVE DOG STORY!!!
Now this is a good story about a dog finding help for it's owner and i have to say a good samaritan who wasn't afraid of the dog.  Read here.  Just a reminder that our dogs or any ones dog can be a hero. Be kind to your potential hero pups at home.

have a great weekend all!
